Here's what you said earlier H~

I couldn't get the first link to work. It never asked me to log in. The second link asked me to log in, with the supplied ID and Password. And I'm listening to one of the tunes now.

Any suggestions? I'd really like to have the Aspen 12/21/05 show, as I'm still mad at myself for not going.

Should be incredible!

Um? what?
and this was in a separate thread:

I've been to Belly Up before, but never for Jimmy - or any band of this magnitude.

Thanks!
Last year, the doors opened at 7 or 7:30 and we were there about 30 minutes before open.
We were about 10th in line and were able to make it right to the dance floor in front of the stage.

I'd suggest about an hour this year, since it seems more people are "on to it" this year. :D

Have an awesome time. :D
The ticket and the Belly Up site list the doors opening at 8:pm this year. With showtime listed at 9:pm.
I do plan to be in line at least one hour early.

I guess I'll look into buying some of those hand warmers and maybe I'll pack the electric socks

Just wanted to encourage you as you were hedging on going this year and said in 2005 that you were mad at yourself for not going. Encouraging someone through writing doesn't come across very well on a message board.

Three days, 23 minutes...not that I'm counting...

Okay, what lunatic whispered the "b" word??? At this rate, the BAND may not get to Aspen, never mind any of the rest of you.... :o

Earlier start today.. snow is falling.. major schools are already closed in prep for the afternoon - a few inches already, but could be up to 24" later today, into tomorrow morning. Yey.

Have yourself the wonderful day that you can! :)

I didn't even think the B word until I figured out what it was....days after Mal thought that's what I meant. At this point I barely remember what I was thinking way back then.

I heard the 24"-thing on the radio this morning and still stepped out the door wearing Crocs. It was dark, I didn't see the slight snow we already had.....and.....AND....I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer!

Here's the weather forecast for my town:

And here's the one for Aspen:

And other than Peter, the band could already be there, right? Doesn't Peter have a show tonight or tomorrow? Bet he's flying into the Aspen area airport on Friday morning.

What's an adventure to see Freddy without a bit of fun on the road trip? Anybody want to ride along to help keep me alive...I mean alert??

Stop all this nonsense talk! I am just hoping that because it is a heavy travelling weekend that CDOT brings in the army to plow the roads. The snow doesn't worry me. It's the potential for a 10 hour drive that gots me timbers shivering.

yeah and your point?? --I guess if you were going to go that far, you might as well go to the show...and without a ticket, that'd be difficult.

I wonder if there will be scalpers in the parking lot? dressed as snowmen, they'll be, I'm sure. The weather is really starting to concern me. Maybe I'll just leave today? I'm calling in sick Friday anyway, what's another day?

Of course my hotel room is only booked for one night, and it's way up there. If I can get to the hotel, then getting to the Belly Up is no problem. The accumulation of snow for Aspen looks to be less anyway. The real problem is Denver, between me and Aspen.

There's no way I'm not going to try. I'd rather wallow in pity, in the ditch on the way. Than sit at home, in the warmth and dryness, knowing that I may have made it.

Still no one has sent me a number to DD during the show. That number may turn into my rescue.

That's enough, I'll be fine. Got new tires on the 4x4 and will make it just fine...better get a shovel and some sand and some snacks and some water and a helicopter!

HOLY CRAP!!!! :o :o :o

Be glad you out-of-staters that you didn't take the leap of faith and book a trip here this weekend. Several airlines have already cancelled flights *in* to Denver and just as many have cancelled flights *out* of Denver. The highway that travels E/W is closed basically from just outside of Denver to the Kansas border due to white-out conditions.

The "B" word is a reality the next few days or so. 13" are expected by the time I leave work today and 20" tomorrow by lunch time.

Drive careful all you Aspen-goers. PM me for my number so if you get stuck near Denver ya have a free place to stay. :D

It does make me feel better.....I just couldn't bear the thought of making "that" phone call home....sorry about Christmas, baby....Mommy loves you, but she loves Jimmy Buffett more.....
Safe travels to the ASPENERS, though.......I'll be sending dry weather vibes to all of you!!
