Seriously, I don't know where to start.....I was a fan before....but I'm a HUGE fan now. The concert tonight was just magical.....small, small crowd, which was sad in a lot of ways, but made it that much better for those of us that were there.....we walked right in and sat in the very front row.....Peter played two full sets and then came back for an encore and just came down off the stage and played acoustic for another half hour or so.....Faith in Angels acousitic AND five feet away from me....truly, I was in heaven.
He stuck around for quite a while after the concert, signing autographs and just chatting with everyone....he was so personable, just like an old friend. I did get some great pictures, but for now....this is, of course, my favorite!! I'll add more tomorrow when I go through them....I got a little camera happy!

It was a great show and I wish I could have stuck around after the encore but I had to get my daughter home so she would get enough sleep.

Not only is Peter a great guitar player, he is a great singer/songwriter. And his merry band of friends weren't too shabby either. And Maggie Estes on fiddle was impressive. She reminds me of Natalie McMasters at that age, lots of talent and stage presence.

It was sad that it was such a small turnout, about 150 to 175 people in an auditorium that seats between 700 and 800. I think part of the problem was that there wasn't more lead time in which to really get promotions moving. The other issue is the fact that the show was on a Monday night in SLC, which meant a lot of folks stayed home for family home evening. I was encouraged that Peter indicated that he would be coming back to town in the future and wanted to spend a bit more time here. Although I did note he wasn't thrilled with the 20 degree weather. :-?

All in all, it was a great performance and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants Christmas music with a slight twist in how it is performed.

Concert pics.....sorry some of them are so fuzzy.....Peter is very animated...and I'm not a very good photographer!

It's such a small world though, when I took my niece to the airport this morning, the skycap that helped us was a parrothead and said that he had just checked Peter in! He was there last night, too....figure the odds of running in to someone when the attendance was (sadly) so small!!
He did say that Peter wanted to come back to SLC in the summer!!
