actually, Penny, as a strong supporter of HSUS there's a lot that cam be done and is being done; working with customs agents to stop the import of endangered animals parts, as well as the export of animal parts..
HSUS operates by donations, and also lobbys politicans, but they must have public support to continue their efforts.
when the tiger and rhino are gone, they aren't going to come back...

Humane Society of the United States; the topic was whales, but has evolved; I believe ragtopW might have been the one that introduced bears to the thread...
Penny, it's all been civil; except for the personal aspect that was brought into the thread...a mod suggested I ignore it; which I generally do,
except when it's as blatant as this was; it's definatley something I'd rather not have happen and have asked politely for it to stop, as is evidence in this thread; it falls on deaf ears..
