As good as the goat meat sounds, I'd rather go with this:

BREAKFAST PIZZA

1 lb. bulk pork sausage
8 oz. pkg. refrigerator crescent rolls
1 c. frozen, loose pack hash brown potatoes, thawed (or shredded potatoes)
1 c. shredded sharp cheese, Swiss or Monterey Jack
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
5 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash Worcestershire sauce

Brown sausage and drain. Separate rolls into 8 triangles. Place on
ungreased 12 inch pizza pan with points toward center. Press over bottom
and up sides to form crust. Sprinkle with potatoes and sausage. Top with
cheese. In bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper and sauce. Pour over
potatoes and sausage. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake in 375
degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Great for that holiday breakfast.

If you brown the sausage in advance, you can just assemble it and pop it
into the oven to bake while gifts are being opened. It's kind of a flat quiche...

Since we're having a huge Christmas dinner at my parent's house around 4:00-4:30-ish, I'll have to have a real light breakfast in the morning-just six fried eggs & a porterhouse steak is all I'll have, since I'll need to save room for dinner.

Won't be any breakfast here, going to grill some round steak and baked potatoes. I think beer will be involved somewhere [smilie=coolup.gif]

We started something new this year, and I think I'll stick with it being as there are no kiddies in our house:

Rumcake and thick country bacon!
The pups got Milkbones in bacon grease, and the kitty got some bacon in bacon grease.

Everyone's been REALLY happy at my house this morning. [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

So did anyone try any of the suggestions posted here,
or was it goat meat all 'round? I don't do breakfast, so
for me it was diet Dr Pepper while we opened gifts at 11-ish.

this is what I did.
Tater Tot casserole
You dump a bag of tatertots in a baking sheet. Brown some ground sausage, peppers and onions and put over the taters. Then scramble up 10 eggs mix in two cans of cream of mush soup, top with cheddar cheese and bake. Everybody loved it.
