Regular Products
I'll post a picture of a product. Bidding of a product will close a short time after posting, depnding on how "searchable" it is. I'll issue a warning 5 minutes before posting a regular product so that players can be ready. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to bid on these products. If you notice that you posted the same exact amount as somebody else, do not edit your original, instead, post a different price.
Players who win a reg. product round will earn 1 point.
Prices should be posted on the dollar. (no cents)
One post per player, per product. (unless a duplicate) There is no editing allowed.
Since I do not have easy access to suggested retail prices for every product ever made, the "target" price will be obtained from the average of 3 different websites selling the same product.
Stage Rounds:
After every 3 regular products, someone will win a "stage round". This is the equivalent of coming up on stage on the game show. The winner of the stage round will be determined from the 3 previous reg. product winnners. Whoever was closest to the target price, will win a stage round.
Stage round formats will be vary, there are over 70 in the real game. Players who win their stage round will earn 2 points.
Showcase Showdown
After the last stage round has been completed, the 2 people with the most amount of points will compete in the Showcase Showdown to determine the winner of BN Price is Right.
Since this is a "searchable" type of game, speed will be important, thus the short time limits. For some products, I may leave out the brand name, or certain specifications that make it too easy for someone already sitting at a computer to research. This should be a guessing game, if you find yourself researching a product, you should be ashamed!! The game show hosts here on BN will know if you are not playing fair.
