Volcano during halftime of Irish game

Post by DazedNiteman »

The Notre Dame marching band played Volcano during the halftime show!!! The announcer started talking about Mt. Kilamanjaro being the tallest peak and active volcano (i think that's what he said) and "where you gonna go when the volcano blows."

Sounded pretty good, but I must say, Go LSU, Go Buckeyes, and Boise State was one of the best football games I have ever seen (except of course every Buckeye/Michigan game - when ohio wins)

Happy New Year everyone

pretty sure it was LSU's band, right?
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

It was the Notre Dame band.

The smoke was cool as was the flowing lava...unrolling of red fabric banners. Well done!

No. It was ND. They did it earlier this season too.

I've seen this in 3 different threads and people can't seem to agree on which band actually played the song. I didn't watch it so who played it? It shouldn't be hard to tell them apart, doesn't ND wear blue & gold and LSU is purple & yellow>

I'll tell you. It was ND. I saw them play it in person earlier this season. I posted something about it then. Don't know why anyone thinks it is LSU.

It was Notre Dame. The confusion was that the halftime show was not shown live. They had recorded a little bit from each band. They showed the LSU band first and then immediately switched to the ND band who played Volcano with only a brief voice over introducing the ND band.

If you weren't really paying attention, it would have been easy to have not realized that they had switched bands.

The smoke and red & orange flags over the formation of the volcano was pretty neat. I only wish I had recorded it. Maybe it'll be on YouTube soon.

</fingers crossed>
