THIS JUST IN: AMERICAN LEAGUE BASEBALL RETURNS TO MILWAUKEE!!!
The Cleveland Indians / Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim series, which starts tomorrow, Tuesday, April 10th, 2007, will be relocated to Miller Park in Milwaukee. Jacobs Field in Cleveland is currently under 10 inches of snow, which caused cancellation of their entire weekend series with the Seattle Mariners.

Best part of this is that they can tie-in so much from the movie "Major League" for this!!!! The movie was filmed in Milwaukee.
I think Bob Uecker should call the games (as Harry Doyle, of course!)

Maybe you know about this. The Giants broadcast team told a story the other night about the hotel in Milwaukee that most of the visiting teams stay in. BTW, it's owned by Big Bud. Anyway, they asked some of the Dodger players how they liked staying there and the Dodgers said they refuse to stay there because it's haunted. Have you ever heard about this?

It's the Pfister Hotel....(it isn't actually owned by Bud).
They have a legend about a haunting, yes. Supposedly, Charles Pfister, the founder of the hotel.

I was hoping the Pirates home opener would be better, they are unfortunately down 3-0 to the Cards. Can't believe they couldn't get to a chump pitcher like Braden Loser (oops Looper)

Down 7-6 with the bases loaded in the 9th, only needing a single to win the game and Mr. Spring hits a grand slam... typical.
You're kidding, right? The guy hits a game winning home run in the bottom of the 9th and you're giving a hard time because a single would have won the game? Now I've heard everything.

Actually. . I thought that it was pretty funny!

I am sure there will be many more anti-Yankee comments posted. . I hope they are half as witty.
Nice win for the Mets today. .

My comment was intended to be funny (poking fun of the media hounding A-Rod's lack of timely hitting).

Yup I am giving him a hard time, if you saw the way he rounded the bases you would have thought he just won the world series. He looked like Joe Carter after hitting the walk off against Toronto in the 93 WS, he almost missed first base he was so excited. But then again his season typically ends mid April so in many ways it was a big end of season HR for him.
I remember when the Yankees and their fans were all about wining the wars not the battles, now they are getting all giddy about winning early April games, curtain calls after every HR

, times sure have changed in the Bronx -

We're hanging on to the hope that Bochy's teams start slow and by the end of September are right there in contention. We CAN NOT start any slower

Just returned from Cleveland.
On Friday as we arrived at he inlaws house, the Goodyear blimp appeared suddenly out of a snow cloud that was above their house in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland. It was circling around waiting for the delayed season opener.
We got over a foot of snow while there and watched on TV as the grounds crew used snow blowers and leaf blowers to try to clear out the stadium of the foot of snow that fell Friday and around another 6 inches overnight.
We left there this a.m. 45 minutes to the west of Cleveland, the ground was almost clear of snow. It was amazing. Up here in Michigan, we had NO snow when we returned to our house.
It will be interesting to see when they are able to finally play at Jacobs field.

Just wondering how the logisitics in getting the fans from Cleveland to Milwaukee would work. Isn't it a bit of a hike for driving?
