My 3rd grader has to write all of her assignments in cursive for the rest of the year... she was practicing her uppercase letters, and asking me "how do you do a ___? " for many of them.
I've been writing my own way for so long, I couldn't remember how some of them should be...
E
H
K
Q I have no idea

I remember how to make them all, but I don't use all of them the "standard" way.

yup (but rarely do!)
Since I was a kid, I felt I was destined to be a professional artist and draftsman,
so beginning back then, and all the way to this day,
I write exclusively in CAPS
My mom still writes in a perfect cursive hand

All my writing is nearly like the 'standard' letters that you posted, Molly.

All but the Q..

Even when I was a little kid in grade school, I thought the Q looking like a 2 was stupid

I never, ever write anything in cursive- my signature is just a scribble!

For some reason, my handwriting is a cursive / print combo... but relatively neat if I try.
And some of my favorite people write in all caps!

Took the pic myself, from outside my door.
It may sound cliché... but here in SD... there really IS a palm tree almost everywhere you turn!

I thought the same thing, Mol. I never could understand why the Q had to look like a 2!

Needless to say, I never wrote it like that!
I have a pretty handwriting, when I take the time....although most of the time some words start out in print and end up in cursive.

Yup--most of the letters look similar to the printed ones, but the Q???
Whose idea what that?
