Cancun- Moon Palace

Has anyone been to the Moon Palace Resort and Spa?

Was there about 5 years ago??? AWESOME!!!!!! Except the Beach was not that great. But the pool was.........

At that time they offered free shuttles to the other Palace resorts in Cancun so for beach action that was the place to go.
Great rooms, we're not the big spenders so we didn't have beachfront. Plenty of booze, great restaurants, great activities, great swim-up pool bar!

Haven't been, but I *think* I remember reading good things about it.
Have you read up at
http://www.tripadvisor.com on the resort? I've found that to be pretty accurate when we've gone to resorts in Mexico.

It's great but Aventura Spa Palace and Bahia Principe in Tulum both are better and believe it or not Bahia is the best.

I had breakfast there and toured the resort with a group of travel agents in December 98. I was really impressed (but that was 8 years ago).
