Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do So throw off the bowlines Sail away from the safe harbor Catch the trade winds in your sails Explore Dream Discover

Re: nfl live
Not sure about a 7 sec delay on TV but I do know there is a delay between regular over the air TV, cable TV, and HD, no matter what you are watching. This delay is just the nature of the technology. While watching the Patriots/Jets game last week I was watching on the HDTV in the basement. My father was checking on something up stairs and had it on the regular cable TV. When Pennington threw that lateral pass and the Pats recovered my dad was yelling before I even saw the Patriots pick it up. Was probably 4 to 6 seconds behind. I have heard that the local radio station in Boston, WBCN, puts on a delay so that people can listen to them and turn the TV sound down.TommyBahama wrote:i believe there is a 7 second delay......i know if you watch regular TV and switch to directv's NFL package there is a delay!!...also same with Radio!!OceanCityGirl wrote:are the games truly live or is there a couple second delay so they can bleep out unexpected things?

Then my eyes weren't deceiving me. I thought that's what the shirt said but then I figured, nah they wouldn't have deliberately put her on camera if it said "that". So I wonder if the FCC will consider this an offense like the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction?
Re: nfl live
from Directv the lag is closer to twenty seconds, I live eight blocks from the Blue turf. I can hear the Cannon go off for a score. andjimsig wrote:Not sure about a 7 sec delay on TV but I do know there is a delay between regular over the air TV, cable TV, and HD, no matter what you are watching. I saw that, and they left it on the screen for several seconds.thebeachbumm33 wrote:It's live, I just saw this(take a look at her shirt, also feel free to delete if it's inappropriate) http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o36/ ... ntgirl.jpg a few moments ago on tv and so did my keets
I was shocked they left it on air as long as they did.
I didn't comment on it to avoid drawing attention to it.
No one else in the room seemed to notice it....fortunately.
Re: nfl live
Thats for sure. Used to have DirecTV. When "Who wants to be a Millionaire" First came on I had it on one time while talking on the phone. The person on the other end was giving me their answer usually before I saw the question. Drove me crazy.ragtopW wrote: from Directv the lag is closer to twenty seconds, I live eight blocks from the Blue turf. I can hear the Cannon go off for a score. and
