Now wouldn't that be cool.
The Beale Street Music Festival is going on May 5 in Memphis.
What a perfect opportunity to show up for a festival!

WOOHOOO!!!
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Oh PuhlHEEEZE!!!
don't tease me anymore! I can't take it.
there is no chance of an outdoor concert here after the Mud Island Phiasco
of 1986. (don't ask) the liberty bowl is being given a 'remodel' to retrofit all restrooms to ADA standards and aint available till next fall. Hizzoner the memphis mayor want to tear it down and build a new one anyway-but I digress.
the FedUP forum is exclusively the venue of the hapless memphis grizzles, who I think are some basketball team or other (dont know, dont care) most music acts go to the casinos in N. Mississippi now. The doobies at the Horseshoe were great last winter...
and Beale Street is a combat zone after 10 pm.
But Hey, yall come on down! Tourism dollars are the only thing keeping this Barf on the Bluff afloat!
I'd still go to the concert, come to think of it

But do you like where you live? hahaha Are there any ampitheaters or other venues just outside of Memphis? Too bad the new Beale Street pier thing isn't ready. If it ever comes to pass, that is !! My son's engineering firm is doing some work on that and you wouldn't believe how much red tape and politic-ing there is on that project.

tourism director in memphis...hmmmmm.
2nd choice would be navigator on the andrea doria?
closest ampitheatre to memfrika is starwood in gnashville (for sale, btw)
from people who've seen a music event there -the FedUP Forum is accoustically abonimitable. or something like that. still supposed to beat the Pyramid (downtown mempho's other state of the art municipal project (closed, also for sale-Bass Pro may make a bait shop out of it).
Saw the band there in 93(?) or so. reverb so bad that I was hearing fruitcakes while he started into son of a son...
sigh.
capn rick-will stick to headphones.
