Neil Finn talks about Jimmy's Version of Weather with You
From The Plain Dealer: <em>Still a standout is "Weather With You," which Crowded House released in 1991 and which enjoyed a new life last year as the title track of Jimmy Buffett's latest album. "It kind of blew me away," says Neil Finn, who formed Crowded House in 1985 after the demise of his previous band, Split Enz. "I like the way he did it. "And I like that he did it. I don't know much of his stuff, but he's obviously got a very big fan base. He does huge shows. So I'm really happy he's taken that song on. Good on him! I look forward to meeting him. I'll give him a big thank-you for certain."</em>

Unless Neil comes this way. If I had my choice I'd go your way, that would be an awsome holidaycreeky wrote:THIS MEANS HE IS COMING THIS WAY IF HE IS MEETING HIMphjim wrote:From The Plain Dealer: <em>Still a standout is "Weather With You," which Crowded House released in 1991 and which enjoyed a new life last year as the title track of Jimmy Buffett's latest album. I just read that Crowded House is going to be playing the Coachella Music Festival in California April 27-29 (not sure which day they are on the schedule). If Jimmy does any of the normal west coast stops during that timeframe (Irvine, Vegas, San Diego, etc.), I wonder if they might end up together on stage somewhere. It sounds like there is definitely mutual admiration for each other and this could be quite a treat to see!
