Jimmy playing stadiums ?

Post by MR.B »

I was told today by a big shot at PNC Park that Jimmy is going to play some baseball stadiums this summer and that PNC Park is in talks to have him play there.

see, i think that would annoy me if he did wrigley and fenway again because those were 4 of the most special shows he's ever done and i think it would take away some of the magic playing there

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Wrigley wont happen. They are going to desacrate the air of that horrid Dave Matthews Music for 2 nights.

And they will only allow one series of concerts there a year.

The Rolling Stones and U2 do all of those stadiums here and there from tour to tour so it's no big deal. For some reason it's a big deal if JB plays some or all of them more than once because some people see those shows as special? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! A stadium show for JB is special? That's just too funny!!!!!!

That would ROCK! I won't get my hopes up, but someplace other than Nissan around here would be good.

As much as Fenway and Wrigley were some of the most special shows I've seen, I'd much rather see JB play amphitheaters. Stadiums aren't meant for concerts. Most of the seats are far away, and for the most part (despite the best efforts of great sound guys) the sound stinks unless you're on the field.

I agree! I turn down reserved seats every year in Tinley. My place is on the lawn. I can spread out, plenty of room to dance. Even '05 in the pouring rain. My brother was laughing at me from under the pavilion, but it was awesome. Not too many people on this earth I'd stand out in a deluge for- and be happy about it- but JB is one of 'em!! :D
