But!!!!! added I'm an Old Cow Hand (From the Rio Grande)
for best song..
I didn't want to start a new thread so I thought I'd bring this old one back. And since Elizabeth McQueen did I'm An Old Cow Hand at tonight's show I had to quote this post.
I saw AATW tonight at BB King's in Times Square. They started off with a great version of Miles And Miles Of Texas and really had the crowd going. They also did Big Balls In Cowtown and then they did a real good job on the old Marshall Tucker song This Old Cowboy but then about halfway through it sounded like they were doing their best to make sure everyone was asleep at the bar. They did just about every slow song you can think of including an extremely depressing arrangement of Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground. But they kicked it up a notch after that and finished with Hot Rod Lincoln, House Of Blue Lights and Cotton Eye Joe back-to-back-to-back. They came back out for the encore and did 3 or 4 more songs, including a great version of What A Wonderful World by Elizabeth. She was also looking pretty hot in a black dress, she's got some legs going on.

Going to put my felt black cowboy hat on now and try to relive the concert moments and feel happy (that you had a great show) and sad (I wasn't there). (ignoring of course the slow depressing stuff).
I wanna go back to the Armadillo........
And raccoons brought wine and the mice they brought cheese...
When I took the CD out of my jacket and gave the booklet to Elizabeth to sign I told her I had seen the band in Gruene Hall back in January. She asked me if it had been a private show. I didn't think I looked that important. I noticed she was still holding the pick in her hand so I asked if I could have it and she gave it up. I thanked her for the pick and she thanked me for buying her record. She was the only member of the band who stayed out on stage after they finished playing.

That's odd. Usually, they have to drag Jason to the bus.
They've put my interview with EMc up on the website ...
