Hey Tiki, don'tcha know where you are? You are in the land of brainwashed, blind allegianced fans. Nothing you say matters to them. They just want 100% positive Jimmy Buffett chatter, 100% of the time. Any opposing opinions are not tolerated, no matter how truthful. To them, brains are wasted on logic. All they care about is you agreeing that every single thing Jimmy does is perfect...and he's not at all greedy. No, sir.

It may be $126.00, but I TRY to be positive about the money spent and look at what I get in return. Yeah, I may have to listen to that God Damn "Cheeseburger In Freaking Paradise" for the 835 millionth time, but am I the ONLY one who seems to get so much more out of all this than just a concert? When you factor in the pre-partys, tailgating, gathering with friends (even I still have a few of THOSE), and everything else that goes with the concert, I'd say we (or, at least I) get more than my money's worth.
So I'll choose to give my money to Mr. Buffett, ticketbastard, and whoever else I have to to enjoy myself and continue going to the concerts as long as there ARE concerts.
Amen Garry...you either go...or you don't...end of story...the man's 60...cherish what we got while we got it...

Garry, you hit it right on the head! I hate to part with 126.00 for anything. Money is tight, But we have paid, ten years ago, $250.00 a ticket to see Jimmy and got back $10,000.00 worth of memories and enjoyment! But circumstances change!
We have an eleven year old Honda, would I like like a new on, yes! Do I have 28,500.00 for a new one NO! So I don't buy one. But If 126.00 can get me a wonderful time and great evening with Phriends and Jimmy and great music and some more memories. I would spend it in a heart beat!
EVEN if I had to pay the money back over the next year!

Not a very good example. For one, I wasn't refering to shows in Germany or special packages. I was refering to the price of a ticket, period. Primo seats for recent tours have been in the $50-80 range. I have no idea what they are at present, particularly for the overseas tour they'll be embarking upon later this year.
I think its an excellent example....even Pearl Jam had their high priced tickets that no one can afford....
It's not comparable at all to the conversation taking place about the price of Buffett tickets. What you have referenced is an exclusive package that in no way resembles anything that's even entered the conversation in regard to the price of Buffett tickets. It's also for an overseas date. To my knowledge Buffett doesn't even perform overseas tours.
But earlier you pointed out that they play all over the world making tickets affordable for everyone....And I just pointed out that they DO have tickets that are not average priced....

OK

supply and demand 101
You sell (among other things) shirts, I bought one
it's cute.. And that's a good thing, I like it..I liked it when I bought it..
you sold it to me for.. I don't remember the actual cost but let's say
XX$ now you could have sold it to me for a dollar or two less
and not made your Profit Margin or you could offered it to me
for 3 to 5$ dollars more... and I would have passed...
Who set the price?? you ??? no you set an
asking price
I as the buyer set the real price.. just as we do for tickets.
BTW I do like the shirt it's cute, and made from a good quality t-shirt brand.

. .I think every post you made about Jimmy being greedy . . .and every post commenting on how other bands have equal, or greater talent, yet charge less for their concerts . .
. . pretty much says you don't " get " the whole ParrotHead experience . . which, to me, is 90% of why I DO enjoy Jimmy . . and am willing to pay for it . .

It all boils down to one's opinion, just because I don't share yours doesn't make mine any less valid or vice versa.

The example you have cited is for an exclusive deal that involves more than just tickets to one of their concerts.

Yeah, but people who complain about high ticket prices don't like Jimmy's music and less than those who don't. If I can paraphrase a commonly heard piece of advice around here: If you don't like hearing complaints about high ticket prices, don't read the thread.
You know, I'm sure that if Jimmy was involved in a hit and run homicide, there'd be people here who'd find a way to somehow justify it...

Because the following question (Does Anyone REALLY think ticket prices are too high?) was posed in this thread and I answered it to the best of my ability.
Nowhere in that question do I see "Is the
TOP PRICE too high"? It says "ticket price
s" not "ticket price". You've focused your whole "they're too expensive" argument on the price of the most expensive tickets. The range of ticket prices, starting at $26, makes a Buffett concert affordable to just about everyone.

Not at all, I've addressed the lower ticket prices and said I found them to be reasonable.

I'm not brainwashed, and I do not follow Jimmy with blind allegiance. I also tolerate different opinions, voiced respectfully.
Why is it those who support Jimmy, and are more than willing to pay the prices he asks, have to be bashed for it and called brainwashed, just because they too express their opinions? That's not fair.
I, me, tikiB prefers BN to be a positive environment... to me, that's why we're here!

But that's just one bar's opinion!
