I bought a new book:
How to deal with morons in cyberspace.
I'm still reading it. So forgive me if I don't have it all memorized yet.

12 POUNDS of ground chuck,
8 red peppers
8 yellow peppers
2 bags of yellow onions
six pack of dark beer (Sam Adams black lager)
8 15 oz cans of kidney beans
8 28 oz cans of crushed tomatoes
12 jalapeno peppers
2 6 oz cans of chipolte sauce,
AND GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE!!!!
Tomorrow (Sunday) WAS supposed to be our 7th annual "Blues & Buffett Chili Challenge", but due to the 4 inches of ice and slush on the roads AND the 17 inches of snow we're supposed to get overnight (which has already started), it's been cancelled.
SO, anybody that's STUPID enough to be in Iowa for the next f'ing two months that feels like having chili, just stop by Casa de Joseph in Oxford, IA.
Right now I'm one of about 11 Iowans who still has electrical power. (But that could change at any second). Alliant Energy personnel are saying it'll be DAYS before most people have power.
I haven't lost my power (YET), but my cable TV is out, so I fired up the ol' transistor radio (remember THOSE, you old fogies), and I'm definately not liking what I'm hearing. It's even worse in places like Minnesota, Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska.
I never loved any human being like I loved my grandfather, but what the hell made him settle in freaking IOWA, I'll never understand if I live to be 1000.
I'd better get off line-I'm not expecting power for much longer.
G'nite, all-stay warm.

That was my laugh-out-loud for the evening.
I've said the same thing about my grandparents & Michigan....I've got a Caribbean Soul, but apparently it didn't come from them.
