Souvenirs.....

I know it's a cover....but "Souvenirs" from Margaritaville Cafe just popped up on my iPod.......since MC isn't a Cd that I seek out to listen to...I hadn't heard this song for a long time....Jimmy's voice sounds so beautiful on that song....just a great, great song....I love the line "I wanted more than one until I found the one I wanted"..........
If it's a song you haven't heard for a while, it's worth tracking down.....it was my nice surprise for the day.....I lead a very simple life....doesn't take much to make me smile!!

It is a great song...a hidden classic almost. Too bad he didn't include in on Fruitcakes.

Im sorry - give me the Steve Goodman version anytime. Even if I am fire and about to die, Id rather hear Steve's version.

It's not the same song as Goodman's. Goodman's version is by John Prine.

I listened to just the preview on amazon and figured it was a different song...................couldn't imagine two versions could be THAT different!
