Talked to Jake...he's going to talk to his guys on Sunday and let me know asap....he is VERY excited and is on board as long as his guys can do it....

Afew things

1) JAnice and I thing it should be named "Bayou Feeding Frenzy"

2) I put together a plan that I think Charles will accept that will be very little $ for location rental out of pocket- I will fill you in early next week

3) I don't think we need to limit the people. This will be explained later

4) Oh yea forgot to mention I got an email this AM fro m my source with the Asto's. Knowing her/him and reading her/his email THE SHOW IS FOR SURE- Bank on it! here is the reply: My question was " is Jimmy Buffett playing Minute Mais April 21st?" Her/his reply"I can’t answer that but it is a very good guess!!"

5)I am thinking it will cost $50.00 per person if registered by March 20th, $65.00 after. The discount will help with seed money. T-shirts will be made (by Sunseeker) and sold as well

so... the magnolia hotel ( http://www.magnoliahotels.com/index.html )if we do a block of 20 rooms (friday and sat night) - we can get the rate at $129 a night. about half of what the regular rate is. it is .3 miles from the ballpark

since I'll be traveling as a single I'm looking for somethiing on the cheaper end of the spectrum. so if the block of rooms gets lower in price, then I'm in. but I don't have any problem finding a hotel on my own, then traveling to the block party!!

the only hotel that is close and coming up with a cheaper price online is club quarters. but you have to be a member to inquire about a block of room.

they allow a small number of rooms to be sold online at the travel sites (like yahoo, hotels.com, etc)

I'm asking some of the locals if they want to go, then I'll move on to the people I haven't met yet. I'm keepin' my options open.
