That's what I was hoping you would say. I love CC, but it's been a few years since I was last there. I love sitting at the bayfront.pcook wrote:Corpus Christi "Sparkling City by the Sea"diverg wrote:Where do you live pcook?pcook wrote:Who says you can't???? Ken Hoffman of the Houston Chronicle wrote a tongue in cheek article about Jimmy's coughing/hacking at Minute Maid, and he made the following comment:
"Buffett reportedly was thrilled with the facility, so I'd look for more concerts at Minute Maid Park."

Maybe he'll be back for an encore performance at MM next year.

Well one of us needs to win a major lottery buy a mega party bus and then we can do a movie like blue collar comedy tour but it would be more like TEXAS TACKY TOUR ON THE ROAD AND CUTTING A PATH DOWN THE ROAD.. Then the sequal would be TEXAS TACKY WORLD TAKES OVER THE WORLD IN A DRINKING LAUGH!!
Then the final one would be TEXAS TACKY TOUR DRINKS OSAMA UNDER THE TABLE.. BREAK OUT A CAN OF WOOP A##@@!!

I know this might be sacrilege to some, but I've spent a lot of time since the Houston show listening to Peter Mayer on WAIT IN VAIN and comparing it to Marley's version ...
I really like Peter's take on the song ... and the harmonies from the CRB just add sooo much.

I remember hearing Pete and the Reefers doing Waiting In Vain way back in 1996. Loved it then and it just keeps getting better and better. They seem to pull it out at SPECIAL times and I was surprised to hear it at the really BIG show.East Texas Parrothead wrote:I know this might be sacrilege to some, but I've spent a lot of time since the Houston show listening to Peter Mayer on WAIT IN VAIN and comparing it to Marley's version ...

you're right, they did it in Aspen back in '05. I'd call that a special time.conched wrote:I remember hearing Pete and the Reefers doing Waiting In Vain way back in 1996. I liked the Houston version a bit better than the '05, but it's getting hard to remember the Houston show
