It was kinda funny actually. Its a great spot, right on the beach. And the waiter walks over to check on them, see if they need more drinks, just as dude is popping the question. He looks at the the guy, and he's got this weird look on his face. Choose that date carefully.
We chose the Winter Solstice (even though the date varies every year, it's still within a few days of our Anniversary),
so we would have a happy day in the midst of the winter, could cuddle and know that from that day forward the days would be getting longer.

getting married on the 14th to save money on flowers is a bad idea for the reason mentioned.
