give him a few days to settle in. he does have to work the crowd a bit more than the other DJ's that are in a studio.

Im sure it will be fine once he finds what works.

He sure isn't very smooth. It appears he's trying to give us that "wild and wacky DJ at a crazy location" act.

It wasn't Les Nesman by any chance, was it?

Found this info at Sirius.com

LIVE from the Margaritaville Café in Orlando Florida
Wednesdays - Sundays 1 pm - 5 pm ET
Radio Margaritaville takes you to paradise every day! And now, we're broadcasting LIVE from the Margaritaville Cafe in sunny Orlando, Florida. Join J.D. Spradlin at the new SIRIUS Tiki Hut Studio, right next to the stage at Margaritaville every Wednesday through Sunday.

This could turn into a fun broadcast!!

Maybe they'll get back to doing the Buffett Buffet at noon tomorrow.

As I just eluded to in the other thread- He LOVES BN, and I think he can be counted on as a friend of the group.

He may be a friend of BN...but he is still needs to grow up and quit being annoying. Egads he was painful to listen to. (I switched over to a playlist on my Sirius.)

I'll give him a few days...it might still be nerves...but he needs to settle down.

Watching him live, with all the racket and excitement (not to mention the total sleep deprivation), while finally sampling my first Landsharks, I probably was so caught up in the moment that I really paid no attention to anything except that he was talking about me, my family, our adventure so far, and this group. What more could I ask for?
Maybe listening on Sirius tomorrow as we drive on further south I can make a more impartial judgement. I doubt it though, I'll still be pretty stoked about the whole thing for a good while to come.

You made my day!
After driving all night and having such an exciting day, I'm breaking with my personal "rules" and using the laptop for recreation while on vacation, in the hope of finding someone that actually heard it!
I mean, how else would I know that it actually made it on the air, and wasn't just some elaberate hoax?
You 'da man,
now I can get some sleep!

It pained me to hear him try to pronounce Conky Tonkin--I just couldn't listen after that. What a shame.

Maybe the guy needs a BN tutorial to help him get it right.

Overall, it's a great idea for M'ville as that's the cafe's slow time...what a great way to bring in a crowd.

Anyway, if the guy likes BN maybe he'll be open to some constructive criticism...so what would you suggest he do differently? More of, or less of? I haven't listened in, but let's help him out, folks. :D
