I heard Crocs are the way to go . . . Please discuss. I myself am wanting to try these Crocs.LonePalm1 wrote:Thanks everyone! I am soooo ready for summer! I need to buy some new flipflops.
Anyone in the Chicago area hear about the Country Music Megaticket from US99 this summer? I'm searching for details/pricing.
On to your regularly scheduled Buffett programming.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.
Don't want to hijack the thread with a shoe discussion, but Crocs are great-I have lots of foot problems and they are about the only thing I can wear other than my shoes with orthoticsmjeischen wrote:I heard Crocs are the way to go . . . Help me really quick with a definition for this thread.
There is constant use of the term Hijacking threads. My impression was this was a thread for general discussion for all people going to the Chicago show. I am one of those people and just having general discussion but don't want to be a hijacker.
I've tried to keep my discussions Buffet/Chicago show in nature or pertaining to. Am I missing something here? Is this just supposed to be a thread with people saying they are going to the show and thats that?
DO I need to create another thread? I was on the Vegas thread last year and the conversation ran the gammut but included all people going to the Buffett show.

I think it is simply that the thread is supposed to remain "on topic" and if we got into an extended conversation on Crocs, the thread would be considered hijacked.mjeischen wrote:Help me really quick with a definition for this thread.

BTW, I remember a thread a few months ago that talked about Crocs so if you want to get other opinions on them, try a search.
Meanwhile, I want a show-why isn't it July yet?

I personally dont care what we talk about. Crocs and footwear for tailgating are relavent in my opinion. I like Crocs too. I love them for the kids because if they get dirty, you can just hose them off.

Message Bored.
Man we need to figure out what is going to breathe life into this thread. Alpine is killing us and frankly I think Wisconsin sucks.
I'm also having trouble keeping myself under control with this knowing full well it is 138 days away. DAMN IT!

I hear ya Harbour and frankly if we weren't having another baby this summer I would take a week off to string that week of concerts together. You totally have my envy - do it now while you can.
Jesus I need some island music, sand, and a cold alcohol beverage!
Even if I buy the Chicago Country Megaticket I won;t see Kenny Chesney until 8/11 and he's only a moderate substitute - No tailgating.

If we weren't having the baby June 20th we'd be in Alpine. Leaving the baby after a month though . . . not our cup of tea . . . 3 months would have been fine . . . wait 3 months brings me to the usual Vegas time . . . Time to start scouting that thread again.

well congrats on the baby! Originally, I wasn't gonna do a whole lot of concerts this summer because I was able to hit quite a few last year: 2 Irvine, Shoreline, Mohegan, Jones Beach, Alpine, 2 Greatwoods, Tinley, and Vegas. So I was gonna take it easy this summer, but then I realized this may be the last summer that I can do something like this before graduating law school and getting ready to take the bar exam. So road trip it is!! WOO OOO!!mjeischen wrote:I hear ya Harbour and frankly if we weren't having another baby this summer I would take a week off to string that week of concerts together. Thanks . . . on the congrats. It was fun to be a part of
.
Definetly take advantage of the opportunity.
I'm actually dragging a Buffett Virgin that is a lawyer out to Tinley. Stop by our tailgate and say hi. He'll tell you how he travels too much and works non-stop. He's paid very well though.

Did Alpine last year, so we're doing Chicago this year. Did Indy last year, so we're going to try and make Cincy this year. Pittsburgh shouldn't be a problem to get to also, so at least we'll have three shows. Hopefully a Detroit or Toronto show still gets added, too.habourgirl wrote:Wisconsin may not be all that great, but that Alpine concert is one amazing time!!! Hence, i'm going to both... Hell..
