Foxboro, MA hotels for the Gillette show/cell phone list?

For those who are attending the Foxboro shows here in Massachusetts and are looking for hotels rooms, I would suggest the Marriott Hotels (there is a Courtyard and Residence Inn but I think they're on opposite sides of Route 1 so you may need to do a Uturn depending on which one you go to and how you are coming) on Route 1 in Norwood. It is off of Exit 9 (coming from the south) on 95 or Exit 15 off of the 95 section of 128 and go to Route 1 south from there.

There is a Holiday Inn Express on Old Post Road on the Sharon/Foxboro line. Also one on South Washington Street in North Attleboro. There is a regular Holiday Inn on Route 1 in Dedham.

There is also a Super 8 motel on Route 1 in Sharon (closer to the stadium but not the best hotel to go to). There WAS the Sharon Motel (don't know if it is still open) right across the street, not sure how good it is anymore.

Booked the Residence Inn a when the show was announced. You can fit six people in the 2 bedroom...plus a full kitchen for tailgate prep.

True. I don't really "cook" anything for tailgaiting. I usually swing by to one of the local sub shops before I head in and pick up a sub there or if I am with a group, someone always is prepared with that so I don't need to worry. I usually bring extra alcohol, chips and salsa if needed.

Another place that was brought to my attention was the End Zone Motel in Foxboro. It is a very shady place and I wouldn't go there.

There is a train that comes from Boston which stops at Gillette so any hotels on that train route, including Boston is another option. This would limit how much you could bring with you of course. But if your meeting up with people have them transport your items.

Taking the train will save you money on parking and you don't have to worry about driving after the show.

But it won't stop on days that the Patriots or the Revolution aren't playing. I've asked the Box Office when Bon Jovi came to Foxboro and the person said there is no train on days when there is no game.

I didn't know that, I thought for any event at Gillette the train stopped there. If not, scratch that option.

I didn't know that, I thought for any event at Gillette the train stopped there. If not, scratch that option.

BUT since this is Buffett, it won't hurt to check though but I think the answer will be no.

I was thinking about staying there...for basically half a night a bed and a shower i'd risk shady...also would make a great area for a BN tailgate and a short walk to the Stadium..plus getting out would be a lot easier!!....Boston room rates will be back up due to kids back in college!!

True, but I know some of the back roads to get around the traffic jams to get back onto Route 1 near Norwood.

Our "chef" for the day is a friend who is an excellent amateur chef/used to be a caterer. Invite to our tailgate for anyone offering navigational assistance!

There is a truck stop near the stadium on Route 1. Take a left there, you'll eventually end up on Mechanics Street and you can hit Walpole Street in Sharon and then Route 1 there.

ravi, we'll be at the extended stay in norton. i am hoping to stop there first and drop our stuff off. can you give me directions?...it's off exit 9 , south washinton st. i recall it being something like an office park???

Just booked rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Foxboro /sharon. Stayed there for the 05 concert at GW. Great peeps. The staff were wearing flower shirts that day and had a bunch of Carribean stuff in the lobby. They got it.

Their website says six miles from the Stadium.
