Hang out without the kiddos? That's just crazy talk! :o

She likes Mexican food best, so I'd say the new Gloria's on the water in Rockwall. The boardwalk area is nice with a couple of fountains and a waterfall into the lake.

They're building a Hilton there too, but it won't be ready for a while. It's on the south side of 30 sort of behind Culpeppers - that's a decent steakhouse with an awesome deck outside if you haven't been.

We were at the concert, but didn't make it to the parking lot until late due to the rain. You all sound like you had a great time. I will be out of the loop next week as my lovely wife is turning the big 5-0 and we will be in Cozumel soaking up the sun and the margaritas. I'll miss my daily readings here. Will cach back up when we return. By that time it will just be 18 days from the show. Fins Up!
It rained last year?? Thats odd I don't remeber rain or should I say Pameesoo doesn't remember

We are getting so pumped!! The 27th is PonchoDi's 39th BD (for the 20th time) and we are crossing the Red River early that day. Reading the posts about Ruth's Chris made me really hungry for one of their steaks that night, so thanks to whoever mentioned it. We are looking forward to this shindig, and I just have to get Di's artist brain in action to come up with somthing good, costume wise. She always has to have a theme for our partys, and doesn't think getting inebriated is good enough, so I'm sure we'll have something original (we'd better, or I'll be disappointed in her ability) 8) .

Alright! The countdown is officially on. I was a little concerned that my wife had to work that weekend, but just found out she'll be free after all. This is a surprise birthday trip for her. All she knows is that we're heading out of town for the weekend to visit some park with some interesting wildlife. I also told her that special arrangements were being made for us to be in this particular part of the park. I think she's afraid I'm taking her to some bat cave or something. I'm having fun with this. Wait till I tell her special clothing is required (the t-shirts) and that she might get wet.

I'm one of those with a TBD contibution and will wait until a bit later to see what we're short on. But it looks at though we'll be short of soda for sure, so put me down for at least a dozen or so assorted liters (Coke, Sprite, Dr Pepper, etc.) and any last minute extras that may come up.

See y'all in a few weeks!

How about 10 2-liter bottles of soft drinks for now - Deal?
