That LaQuinta is right beside my aptartment!East Texas Parrothead wrote:Bill! Great photo!
I cam into the city today to see the matinee performance of "Wicked." It was fabulous.
I think the Dallas area parrotheads should pick Gloria's for our new headquarters. There's even a La Quinta nearby so I can drink all I want and not have to drive home!

Musical Interlude for FRIDAY 4/20/2007
{I know, I know..I should have picked a song approprate for the date of 4/20...
..but, instead, I chose a song for everyone who is headed to Houston this weekend! and Frisco next weekend...and for those who are making a week out of it}
HELLO TEXAS!!!!
Well I just pulled out of Chicago
Partied old Chi-town 'round
Rollin' along that Interstate 10
Lord knows we're Texas bound
Chorus:
Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see you again
Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see me a friend
Well now we've been to New York City
We've been to L.A. too
People in them towns love to party down
But they don't boogie like the Bee Gees do
Chorus:
Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see you a friend
Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see you again
You know we ain't knockin' the rest of the country
No we really think it's great
Just seems I left a part of my heart
Somewhere in the Lone Star State
You know we ain't knockin' the rest of the country
You know we really think it's great
Just seems I left a part of my heart
Somewhere in the Lone Star State
Chorus:
Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see you again
Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see me a friend
Ah, hello, Texas
Sure is good to see you again
Ah, hello, Texas
Sure is good to see me a friend
Yeah, Hello, Texas
Sure is good to see you again
Ah, hello, Texas
Sure is good to see me a friend
Thank you ..thank you very much!

I just sent the Friday email. I sent it as a BCC, so check your bulk folder and let me know if you didn't receive it.
I included the schematic for parking that wheatsailor put together. If you are bringing an RV or other large vehicle with special parking needs, send him a PM.
The tailgate hotline # is 800-604-0838. I will update the recording Saturday morning to confirm our location and describe the landmarks to look for. Call the hotline # first if you have trouble finding us, then resort to the phone list if needed.

It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Fins
That's been in my plans for the Big Blue Jimmy 'Burb' since we found out about Frisco! The more SUV Fins, the better. I'd drive my '55 Poncho down if we had room for all the stuff we are packing, it came from the factory with finsMr Play wrote:PHarmboy is making a shark fin for the top of the Yukon. Sweet!

There's not an opening act (unless it's a surprise).JaysGirl75002 wrote:Does anyone know who is opening for Jimmy B. next week?
BTW, Is anybody bringing door-prizes? Last year we had various give-aways and called numbers off of people's wristbands.
Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?
Bobby: No.

You are definitely in for an "enlightening" experience next weekend.JaysGirl75002 wrote:Having never been to a Jimmy B concert before I am very excited to find this stuff out.
Them lucky Houston PHolks are getting to see Robert Earl Keen open for Jimmy.
Maybe REK will stop by Frisco . . . (However, i figure it would have been announced by now).

See ya'll Sunday night when I get home. MIL is on dialup, so I'm not even taking the laptop.
