I thought about having some people bring door prizes a while back, but I decided we were light on beer at the time. I'll ask a couple of the TBD's to bring giveaway items next week, along with any newcomers. If anyone else has something cool they want to contribute for door prizes, that would be appreciated too.

To clarify, door Prize items can be anything you want to contribute. Gift cards are easy but it could be something else like a CD or DVD. Or it could be something that you already have and want to pass on to another parrothead. Just try to make it something cool that you would want to win and let me know so I can account for it. Take your giveaway items to the DJ booth when you get to the tailgate.
Here's how it will work.
All of the wristbands have unique numbers and I've kept track of the ranges that were mailed. I'll develop a system to draw the numbers out of the bucket, and the DJ will call the number out over the sound system. You'll look at your wristband number and report to the DJ booth if your number is called.
The drawing will be at 5:00 and you must be present to win. Afterwards we will get a group shot of everyone with the Leaky Tiki and sailboat in the background.
Thanks for the great suggestion frognot!

I bought a 1,000 ft roll of shrink wrap for the hot tub yesterday. I'm going to wrap it around the edges of the cover and strap it down tightly to keep the water from leaking out. That way it will be ready to go when I get it there Saturday morning.
I also got the PVC pipe for 2 flagpoles and the carpet to put on the trailer.

I am trying a new beer called Miller Chill. It is Miller Lite with lime and salt. It is not bad but has a funny after taste.
OMG! I gotta get me some of this! The ONLY way I drink ANY beer is with salt and lime!
I can't wait 'til next week!!!!

For some strange reason each additional beer that I drank tasted better than the last.

Bill, THANK YOU for all you do. My group will be bring various door prizes (not sure of specifics).
Some ideas they had were "Texas" type stuff (salsa, local beers, food & candy such as "armadillo droppings"*. chili mix, etc) or tropical stuff (li'l pack of Kona coffee, tropical fruit mix, Tropical flavor Jelly Bellys, bottle of rum, etc). I have a couple of Margaritaville items from Vegas i need to locate.
I know this group has a lotta imagination for goodies to give away.
* If you don't know what "armadillo droppings" are, check out http://www.texasgiftitems.com/mall/food-misc-3285.asp

I'll get a cluster of blue and white balloons from Party City. I think the 25ft sailboat next to the Leaky Tiki will stand out more than the balloons though.
