A part-time co-worker of mine murdered his wife yesterday...

Google John Dean

Chicago Trib article

I had written a letter of recommendation for him recently, on behalf of my boss, to present in court in hopes of getting a hardship driver's license.

JoAnn,
That's very sad and very heartbreaking.
You're right-you NEVER do know about some people.

Prayers to the family of the victim.
I hope this will be a wake up call for some people to notify SOMEBODY in a position of authority if they even suspect any violence and/or abuse (mental or physical) that may be happening.

I heard this story on the news yesterday--I am old enough that the name John Dean jumped out at me.

Sorry to hear this-I can imagine how odd this must feel for you knowing the guy.
