I'm not a vitamin person.....even though I should be because I have low iron, but anything with iron in it makes me sick. Throw up until dry heaving sick.

I think we've figured out the iron is the culprit of the pukes (and why I barfed so much while pregnant since prenatal vitamins are chalk-full of iron).Dally wrote:I'm not a vitamin person.....even though I should be because I have low iron, but anything with iron in it makes me sick. Price isn't so much the factor so I'm not worried about that. I did a line-by-line comparison of the vitamins and the main thing missing from the one that doesn't make pukies is the iron.parrothead216 wrote:Mal, you may be reacting to the diferent formulation of the new product.
Try a different one, perhaps one that is , food-based! Most vitamin manufacturers use laboratory create forms of the natural nutrients! Also, you maybe reacting to the binders and fillers.
You and your husband may do better with something directly from foods. The potencies won't be as high , but you may tolerate them better. Also, you may absorb those nutrients better.
It is almost impossible to get all your nutritional values from your diet today, Especially because of the way food is grown.
Try not buying your supplements simply on price, sometimes you do get what you pay for.

We're going to try taking it after dinner when our tummies are full to see if that makes a difference.
I'm going to check around and see if I can find it at another store. What a pain.parrothead216 wrote:Mal,buffettbride wrote:Price isn't so much the factor so I'm not worried about that. Some how That didn't come out the way I meant it ! Sorry!I wasn't suggesting that you were being cheap! Many times people buy natonal brands because they are reasonably priced.
I unfortunately type faster then the mind works!!!
According to the One-A- Day website, the product is still listed. Your retailer may have discontinued it because it didn't sell well for them.

If you follow the link, perhaps there is another retailer that carries the product or can order it for you! I think they have a retailer locator on their site!
