Funky Vitamins...

Hubby and I take a multi-vitamin every morning. We were taking the One A Day Carb Smart but that has discontinued so I picked up the One A Day Weight Control at the store last weekend. Hubby always used to say mutlivitamins make him throw up and I thought it was just a ploy to get out of taking his vitamins (the Carb Smart never made him sick).

Well, this new vitamin not only makes him puke but makes ME puke (ladies, think morning-sickness style).
I was wondering if...
1. This has happened to anyone else.
2. If so, what is a multivitamin that is non-pukie.
3. Any other vitamin wisdom.
Muchas gracias!

vitamins on an empty stomach used to make me puke...I don't take vitamins and just try to get my nutrients from food...I think most of the vitamin industry is all crap!

we stick with a basic multivitamin and vitamin c and i take an extra calcium supplement because i don't really eat many dairy products. i'd say i think 90% of vitamin stuff is crap, but doc says mutlivitamin, vitamin c, and calcium is the thing for me to do.
maybe i'll try having a little something in my stomach first. hmmm...

I'll have to agree with taking them at night. I've also noticed that vitamins high in iron caused me nausea.

when i was in college i took about 4 different vitamins at breakfast and it never bothered me. i didn't know you needed to take them with food.
about 18 months ago, my doctor told me to take a multivitamin because my vitamin d was low. i take the one from wal-mart. after i finish my cereal, i take the vitamin with the left over milk in my bowl. that way i get all the milk & calcium plus it coats my tummy. i developed acid reflux years ago. i don't have a problem with the multivitamin. it could be due to the milk i take with it.

milk is moo-splooge. i won't drink the stuff. gag. puke. gross.
hubby has acid reflux though, and loves milk. maybe that will work for him.
bedtimish will work better--will probably be more after-dinnerish.

Love milk!

Can't drink it.
Anywho - no help here, Mal. Vitamins don't bother my stomach one bit. Good luck, though.. I agree with most, take them with food should help.

i can't even swallow it, it's so gross. hubby keeps thinking he can get me to drink it, and i won't. at all. ever.
i do like chocolate milk though.

the real thick store-bought kind.

I'll put milk on my cereal, but whatever is left in the bowl goes to the dogs....that's about it for me and milk....I like hot chocolate, but I don't really even like chocolate milk...

I don't have dogs, so my cereal milk goes down the sink. It drives hubby BATTY. I love hot chocolate. My chocolate milk has to be super ice-cold and I have to drink all of it at once or else it is icky!! It's really all about the chocolate.
