Alpine is Sold out Already?

Look at all these tickets on Ebay already. I think we should turn them all in as it is against Ebay policy to sell something that you do not have in hand. How about a BN revolt?

They probably do have them in-hand already.

My guess is that how most all of these work - people have a deal with someone who is a season ticket holder, or they themselves are, to all events at the venues and know they will have tickets to certain seats as soon as it's officially on sale. It's happened this way for years.

Not lawn tickets they don't. Check out the auctions and see that they say they will be shipped on 2/27. That is 1 day after they go on sale. If they had them in hand they could ship them now.

Generally speaking, customer satisfaction is the only form of "truth in advertising" on eBay...so it's speculation...all part of the game.....

Just wait until a day or two before the show and go to Ticketmaster. I got 4th row center seats for a sold out show of The Cult doing that. They'll say it was sold out but rarely is a show ever sold out. Check out Soundscan magazine - you'll see that JB's shows are not always sold out. So some tickets get released the day of the show. That's standard from what I've learned.

I noticed the ebay thing too... If you also notice the seller is the same person is most cases (at least with Chicago it is). They don't have them, but they are conncected enough to have them on Monday.

The world of brokers would make you sick... they pay homeless people to stand in line and buy tickets for them. Cell phones, and internet have only made it easier.

This happens every year, if you check back the day of the ticket sales you'll find quite a few of these ads go away!

Thankfully, I only expose myself to the seedy world of ticketmaster, ticket-brokers and (greedy) ebay sellers once a year!

and if they don't get them, they shut down the auctions like they never existed...you could go after them if you wanted, but it would be a lot of work. All events have lemming like fans and the scalpers need to be the first ones out there to make money...happens all the time for more shows than just Buffett...ebay has opened the world up to everyone to be ticket brokers...you may end up buying tickets off ebay from somone in Mississippi, because they got in and you didn't....

In the world of tm, Money makes it right. We are just little people. We can't win aganst tm. In ILL scalping is legal. You grease the pols, and they pass a law so you can scam the phans. It sucks but in most states scalping is a big cash business. It's not regulated. I would pay taxes on what I say I made. not what I really made.

It's not sold out, but if You want to get up close, for the most part you have to pay thru the nose. I have never sat closer than 10 rows from the top. Not front. top. There is more room to dance .

I was being sarcastic when I said sold old. Some of the adds said sold out. Granted it will be. In 2004 I was in the 16th row center stage on tickets I got through Ticketmaster. It can be done. What ticks me off is these people selling them through the nose on Ebay when in the state they are selling them from is Illegal. I believe in WI you need a broker license to sell them over face. Am I correct?

Good luck to everbody on Monday getting tickets.

eBay has basically made those laws irrelevant.

Not true. If they are reported to Ebay their listing will be removed.
