No way Sanjaya is in the bottom 3 this week...his performance was clearly the best of the evening. I don't really think he's that great, but the other contestants incompetence make him look like a superstar!

I caught a couple of the preformances tonight (between innings of the ballgame)

I was kind of dissapointed last night in general. No 'wow' moments (good or bad) for me last night.

Although Hayley did have 'the girls' out for display again and a short dress, that should help her a bit.

I think she gets more votes when she vamps it up a bit.

Sanjaya does not belong there. He's a joke. And can not sing, especially compared to the others. If he continues to stay week after week, then I see nothing but a farce. And I won't watch this show again. I never watched the show when it started, but I love people who can sing, cause I can't.

Me, too. Sanjaya's going to be the show's downfall. It's lost all credibility. I say put the judges into the mix and let them -- the pros -- weed out the wannabes ....

I have to watch and comment on it for work ... but I will not be watching next year. I'm done.

That's actually a specific tactic that they are using- don't draw attention to him, then he might get less votes if people think he is 'safe'. There is a massive 'pity vote' factor out there, until people either get bored with the person or they think that person might be safe.

So the lack of any meaningful criticism by the judges of Sanjaya is a good thing.

Cheek to Cheek is one of those songs that SHOULDN'T be remade.

Gina was ok... the tongue ring made it worse.

This is the first time this season that I am sincerely annoyed. I wasn't a Gina fan & I didn't think she was going to win, but c'mon!!!

Although, I keep reminding myself that in other seasons there were similar controversies... maybe not quite as widespread and fierce, but there was still plenty of malcontent (quite possibly due to the increased viewership). Hell, tonight with the trivia question we were reminded of Bucky from last season! He was nauseating, but yet managed to stay on the show way too long. This show is still very much in the popularity contest stage of the show. The next to go... in random order will be Phil, Haley, Sanjaya and Chris. That will leave the three divas and Blake to duke it out. I'm still pro-Idol, but if those afformentioned 4 aren't in the final, I'll be really p***.
