Brokers trying to Snipe BN Members tickets

I was lucky and got 2 extra pavillion tickets for Alpine. I posted them in the ticket exchange for face plus TM charges. Low and behold I get 8 PM saying they want the tickets but only joined BN today. I called a few a the numbers that were left to me and they were brokers.
Be very aware of these scum. Granted I could make a profit probably if I wanted but I would rather party with BNR's in the lot before hand. TN rapes us enough.
Thoughts?

My only thought (besides the obvious fact that I applaud any BN'er who sell to other BN'ers without making a buck) is that the "joined date" isn't always an indication of a good
or bad person. Some actually have heard of BN as a good place to buy/sell tickets but have never joined before.

I would agree to the above statement but when the person has 1 listing and gives you a PM with an out of state phone number and you call it and it list a ticket broker. Something fishy going on. I also looked up another ph# I was given and it was ticketking or something like that. When I got 2 tickets in Vegas 05 I sold them for face but the people had to know the answer to an obscure Buffett reference that only a Parrothead would know. That is how you have a "Fan"

trying to buy pre-sale tixs

are brokers the reason why all good seats, for the most part are gone after a few minutes? How hard is it to ask for 2 great seats for once. Even with pre-sale it seems impossible to buy tixs anywhere close to the stage. Does it make a difference if you purchase two or ten at one time. Any suggestion for my next purchase? Thanks & See y'all in Houston, TX!

Just a note, I may have just joined today but I am not a broker at all. I'm just a regular Parrothead here to talk with other fans about Jimmy, and maybe score two tickets to Tinley Park.

Welcome to BuffettNews!
The daily conversation thread is the MSC (Morning Star Cafe) but you will find friendly parrotheads in most any thread around here!

Then that's totally a different situation.

Just not all 1 time posters are brokers, thank goodness.

No. The reason this sells out so fast is because EVERYONE, and "real fans" especially, gets online and on the phone at one time and orders as many tickets as their credit cards can handle. Are brokers in that equation as well? You bet. But when thousands and thousands of parrotheads and maybe a few hundred brokers as well well are all vying for a limited number of seats, it will sell out, and it will sell out FAST.
People ...... you may not like brokers or the (very American) practice of buying low selling high and supply and demand .... but
at the moment of first sale, your competition for the elusive "face value" ticket as sold by the first seller (TicketMaster) is not brokers .... it is EACH OTHER.

That is why I checked the numbers that were given to me. I am not going to post names of the people who contacted me with one post. Heck even my brother in law that is going said sell the other ones and make money. My momma brought me up the correct way and ripping people off is not it.
All I am saying is be careful on who you sell them to. If you want to sell them for face, sell them to a fan. If you want to make money, sell them on Ebay or to a broker.

One of the reasons concerts sell out so quick is because of subscription seating. I know at Riverbend in Cincy you can pay a couple of thousand $$ and get tickets for all or most of the shows. A lot of corps do this for their employees. They used to offer a series package that I used to have. It included JB and 3 other acts. Had the same seats every year for about 4 years. Then they did away with it for this yearly subscription. Now there are only a couple of thousand seats that are even for sale in th Pavilion. I suspect many other venues do something similar.
