Your Cincy girls are anxiously awaiting your arrival! Travel safe!Defimoff1 wrote:Hi all! I've been away from the board for most of this thread, but I'm still alive... lol! We're headed down this evening and hoping to make it to CIP. The phinmobile will be substituted for a luxuroius motor coach this year. We'll still have the limbo setup and tunes, so everything should be like normal. I'll try to check the board again before heading out. See y'all there!

OK, I've asked this before, but (to my knowledge) didn't get any replies and I want to double check this before heading to Cincy tonight.
I have a bunch of people interested in going to Cincy strictly for the tailgate, (would not be going into the show). I typically park in the grass lots right across the street from Riverbend (the smaller of the two lots).
My question is will there be a problem with having a bunch of party goers continuing to tailgate during the concert, or is there some kind of weird "no tailgates during the show" rule, like some sporting events have?
I would be really, really surprised if there were such a rule, but I'd rather be the stupid person asking now, than the REALLY stupid person tomrrow when everyone is told they can't party...haha.
Thanks to all!!

Technically, in Cincinnati, there is no tailgating allowed at any event, football, baseball or concerts. Now we all know they don't strictly prohibit it though. I personally have never NOT gone into the concert so it's hard to tell what the cops may say. I would be a little leary personally since there is no tailgating allowed. (They just busted a NASCAR driver for partying in the parking lot at Kings Island, but that's a little different.) The cops around here CAN be real a-holes sometimes, but I've never noticed any problems at the Buffett shows and I've been going for over 20 years. If you head down Sutton about a mile there's a real good spot for RV's on private property that probably would be a good spot to be. You may want to check that out.

I actually just broke down and called Coney Island - they said they do operate the lots across the street from River Downs race track and said they do not have an issue with people hanging out and continuing to party while the show is going on.Cincy'sOwnDrunk wrote:Technically, in Cincinnati, there is no tailgating allowed at any event, football, baseball or concerts.
