Blame it on Buffett

Post by Down around Biloxi »

Is it me, or is it the fact that there's seven inches of snow on the ground in the Chicago area. Plus the fact that I just got tickets to see jimmy at Alpine with a bunch of Buffett fans. That....... this song "Blame it on Buffett" has got me so pumped for summer to come. Ya we're freezing up in Chicago stuck in or cars, I wish I was at the beach drinking rum in the bars[smilie=graytard.gif] If you haven't heard it yet, you can hear it at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... I just heard that today on RM. Very good song! Makes me wish summer wasn't 3+ months away but right here.

Yea it is a cool song and some of his other tracks are real good to. I wasn't to sure if this was a road the disussion board had traveled before, so I just threw it out there. The song was requested by a couple of Buffett fans on radio Margaritaville. I think I'll return the favor for turning me on to it by calling in today and seeing if I can't get Kelly McGuire a little more air play.

As a new RM listener (just over a month now), I thought that everybody else here knew that tune!! Loved it the first time I heard it, I don't feel like such a newbie anymore!

Summer IS right here... it is supposed to be 85 tomorrow and 90 Monday. Jimmy has sailed away to an island for the weekend, and I spent the day planting flowers and wandering around barefoot in jammies ... how summer do you need? If you want snow, you can go to Big Bear. I LOVE Chicago, tis' our favorite American city, but not in winter. Oh, go see the beluga whales at the Shedd! It's your snow!

I think 'global warming' could be blamed on Buffett - his music makes everyone wish it was summer all the time.

And in the winter no one ever talks about 'global warming' but in the summer, when it's hot, for some reason everyone screams 'global warming' even though the past handful of summers have been basically the same.

It is Buffett's fault and he is to blame. Shake the salt on yer shaker.

I really liked the tracks I heard so much I just ordered the cd. The weather here was wonderful yesterday and the same for today. Can't wait for it to stay that way.

Thanks for the heads up on Kelly McGuire. I'm new to this forum and am always looking for good summer fun music. If you have other artists I would love to get clued in.

Here in central Illinois we love the Boat Drunks.

Hmmmm! Well, Jimmy BlackBerried that, having moored, they were drinking at 'Luau Larry's', guess you really can blame THAT on Buffett.

also, check out the Kelly McGuire website:

www.redfishisland.com

both his 'Boat in Belize' CD (with Blame it on Buffett) and his 'Redfish Island' CD will appeal to any parrothead.
If your taste runs to country, his 'Club Blonde' CD is outstanding

wish I'd known you were looking; I would have picked a CD up for you at his show last Monday :-?

Best bet is to just order from his website; he will have it to you quickly, and will gladly sign the CD for you if you ask.

Once it arrives, it will immediately become your favorite CD!
