Just heard from our concert activity coordinator that we're planning a 1:30 arrival in the parking lot. Whoooo hooo! Much better than the 3:30 show time last year. Now if I can just figure out how to get an air conditioned tent for the afternoon sun-bake. Still keeping fingers crossed for a low 80s and low-humidity summer day...

TWO WEEKS FROM THIS MOMENT We'll be THERE!
a. Very Happy
b. Passed out
c. Drunk
d. Looking for our car/bus/trailer/RV
e. Wondering where we put our pants
I figure to be "a" and "c". Hopefully not "e" but that would make for a good story.

I want to fulfill my dream of bringing a generator and having a massive setup with a stereo, fan and a blender. But, I probably won't get my act together in time. I'll bring a mist-er (spray fan bottle) for the heat, a bottle opener and my cell phone so I can call all you peeps!freaky4tiki wrote:I can ask!Clintster7 wrote:Hang fans inside your tent to keep cool. Not AC but next best thing. Dori got any more friends that need a pavillion?
I need to do a little pre-concert shopping... gotta hit the beach toy aisle in Target!
What toys are y'all bringing?

Hotels
ECU Pirate Chick,
FYI - We always reserve a hotel before the tickets go on sale because you can always cancel it. Manassas area hotels usually sell out quickly and some are now getting inflated prices for Jimmy night.
Warrenton isn't too bad a ride. You'll be OK.
Also hoping for a nice weather day. Perhaps the Tiki Gods will even things out a bit after last years bakefest.

We've got a little work to do on the bar-- bad storms blew it over and popped some bolts loose. Bar top doesn't sit right now....
not a big thing but we don't drinks flying everywhere!
We're staying at the Red Roof. Nothing fancy but we plan on passing out before we see too many cucarachas!

We are now close enough so we can get an extended forcast for the 28th. So, the weather report is for June 28th is:
Scattered T-Storms
High 85°F
Low 68°F
Precip. 40 %
I know forecasting the weather can sometimes be an imprecise science so take this with a grain of salt. And some tequila. and some margarita mix.

A buddy of mine called Nissan and they said 3PM <insert laugher here>. I'm sure they will be open earlier, I don't know how much earlier. I wouldn't worry.rwwilk wrote:Any Nissan veterans out there know when the parking lots are going to open this year?
In years past, the lots have opened quit a bit earlier than usual. However, this year, I cannot find any such information on the Nissan Pavilion website.
Should I worry?

That's surprising. The last few years they have announced that the lots open at noon with the Premier Parking (which was $20 at the gate). We were in last year at 11:30!Hockey Mon wrote:A buddy of mine called Nissan and they said 3PM <insert laugher here>. I'm sure they will be open earlier, I don't know how much earlier. If they tried to park everyone starting at 3 PM, some pholks will be parking in time for the encores!
We hope to be partying by 3 PM. Got a VIP parking pass!![giggle [smilie=giggle.gif]](./images/smilies/giggle.gif)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
