Just a little bummed we lost Saturday 23rd because of Chesney and ended up with a Tuesday show. With a tuesday show it means taking off one, maybe 2 days of work, so I lose a couple of bills.

Eh, once I get a beer in my hand and the music starts playing I guess it will all be good.

if there is one, just one, complaint I have with Jimmy Buffett it is non week end shows in big Parrot Head areas. He performs so few shows a year now - AND - he has the means to travel anywhere in a few hours time that he should play more weekend shows.

The Year after Fenway Park he played a monday and wednesday in June out at Great Woods. Good time but we were all used to Labor Day weekend with a thursday - saturday or something close to it.

Tuesday in Camden is cool - but I do feel bad for you guys. I know what it is like to have to plan around work and other committments. A weekend show is well deserved and it sucks you all got tuesday.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

It may be slightly more inconvenient to have to party on a Tuesday night than a Saturday, but we are now in an era where Jimmy plays a mere fraction of the shows he did in the 90s. There a good number of places that no longer get any show at all.

I'm just happy to have a show in the area, regardless of the night!
It was too much tequila, or not quite enough!

I agree.

It is just that everything was pointing toward a Sat 23rd show, and a few very reliable sources had also given that date. It seems like it was changed at the last minute, after I had already gotten my hopes way up for a saturday show.

Either way, it will still probably be one of my best concerts of the summer.

Ditto here. Although I'll be going to the Nissan show (as I live in the Balto/DC area), I track the Camden show as it is relatively close and I have family that typically goes to see him up there.

It seems fairly regularly that the Balto/DC area has been getting Thursday shows (either Nissan or Merriweather), and that the Philly show immediately proceeds it on a Tuesday. I know two years ago he played the ballpark in Philly on a Thursday/Saturday (as I was there on the Saturday show), but how 'bout showing Philly and/or Balto/DC some love, and give us one of us a Saturday show Bubba???

hotels in the area/jersey side

Post by gris gris »

Can anyone tell me of a town in NJ off the turnpike where we would find a hotel? I know Cherry Hill but are there any towns in that area a little bit north? We're coming from CT and don't mind driving a little bit after the concert to get a decent hotel on the way home. Thanks :)

Hotels - Mount Laurel NJ is an option; there are a decent number of hotels there in the Hwy 295/NJTP area. But why don't you look into hotels in Philly on Columbus Blvd (I think there is a Days Inn and a Hyatt there); then you can hop the ferry over to the show and not worry about drinking and driving? You and about a zillion other folks would be taking the ferry.

Hello phellow parrot heads!

Lime Guy here, planning the annual bus trip from Manahawkin to Camden.

Does anybody have any pre-sale information??

Thanks

Lime Guy - A presale would be a beautiful thing, but I don't believe there's ever been one for Jimmy at Camden. The shows typically sell out in under 10 minutes so they don't offer a presale.

Still....we can all cross our fingers and pray to the Parrot Gods....

Since it is Camden this year - there will be no presale. This will sell out in 30 seconds anyway there's no need. Sorry. Get the fingers moving, the eyes checked (for those freaky "words" ) and make sure the cable bill is paid!
