Did anyone else TRY to get tixs for the Indiana show?
this has to be the most challenge I've had in getting tickets. I was completely shut out after less than 3 min. All I wanted was a few lawn tixs.WOW! how did everyone else do?
What would they do if made no landfall

In at 10:00 and some odd seconds... got my 2 lawn first hit.
Secured my purchase then tried again for the helluvit... lawn came up again after a couple of attempts. After that, couldn't get any more hits. All the tickets must be with the brokers or already on eBay.
Good Luck in your search.

Got my 5 lawn tix right away.
Keep trying as some get tossed back and/or credit cards get rejected. A couple years ago it took me 45 minutes to get a hit and I was able to come up with 5 pavilion together.
Good luck!

Indy seats
My wife tried at work and I tried on my computer, we both got pavilion seats. I kept trying just for fun until 15 till and still could get singles. We will be keeping the best set and selling 3 of the others.

I promise this will be my one and only TM gripe this year, but if ticketmaster is somehow allowing scalpers and brokers to freely re-sell tickets well above face value before they go on sale, I don't think they can convince people they're an ethical organization by having that &(*&^%$ illegible security code that "prevents users from running ticket-buying scripts." several of my friends were shut out because the code came up completely illegible...lose the thing!

I understand your frustration with the security code - but it is, for now, a necessary step. If it were not there I could very easily write a script (and so could hundreds of others) that would slam ticketmaster.com with thousands of ticket queries at once. You and your quick typing fingers would stand an even smaller snowball's chance in Key West to get tix. I don't know how to write a script to decypher those codes so that step is needed to block me from mass attacking the website with ticket requests.rudybreno wrote:I promise this will be my one and only TM gripe this year, but if ticketmaster is somehow allowing scalpers and brokers to freely re-sell tickets well above face value before they go on sale, I don't think they can convince people they're an ethical organization by having that &(*&^%$ illegible security code that "prevents users from running ticket-buying scripts." several of my friends were shut out because the code came up completely illegible...lose the thing!
But you are correct, some of those codes are even illegible to the human eye. When those codes pop up and you or I can't decypher them, it's frustrating and wrong.

No, I gotcha - it just seems more and more like that little security step, because no one can read it, actually shuts people out. When it first started it was perfectly readable - just wish they'd go back to that!surfpirate wrote:I understand your frustration with the security code - but it is, for now, a necessary step. well i've been spoiled.
the past 4 years? i have had no problems getting tickets. in fact, just yesterday i was chuckling out my fellow bn'ers who couldn't get stuff thru ticketmaster.
and then it happened. i'm on the outside looking in for some lawn seats now. arghhh!

Shut out for the first time in 4 years! I wonder how much blame is due to that first illegible code I received, but I was in line in under a minute. After staring at "Your wait time is less than a minute" for like 2 minutes, I was kicked out. I kept attempting to find tix until about 10:15, then gave up and went back to bed. I found 2 last year at around 6pm, so I guess I'll hope the boss will let me use her net logon tonight
Congrats to those who got tix, and good luck to the rest of us!!!

I think the key is to just keep trying. It seems that tm and the scalpers give up after 15 min or so. I was able to score tickets to AV 1 hour after they were on sale. Last year i gave up. I can't go to indy, so I didn't want to try. I would have liked to go. But I don't think that it would be fair to scalp them. I will be listening to RM . Drinking like I always do.

You can get them on LiveNation as of a minute ago... I just put in for two and it brought up 2 pavilion together... I think that's a problem when the tickets initially go on sale, it's tempting to "see what you can get" even after you have the tickets you need. It shuts others out while we "play." I just played, and they still have pairs... I didn't try any more than 2.
