Sail On Bowie

"I want it to be remembered that I was commissioner during a time of tremendous growth in the popularity of the game," he said, "and that it was a time in which no one could question the integrity of the game."

Former Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn has died at 80. Personally I thought he was awful, at the time. But when you think of the changing times and the changing game, plus what inept owners puppets like Uberoth, Vincent and Bud the spud have done, he looks pretty dang good.

Hey Bud, that word in the quote is "Integrity" you might want to look it up

Sail on, Bowie. :(

Yes, compared to those that followed him, he did alright. Too bad Bart Giamatti only held the post for five months.

I thought he was awful at the time too, but what a breath of fresh air he'd be compared to this jackass-scumbag-used car salesman wannabe-moron who's destroyed the game as we know it.
Bowie would be a breath of fresh air regardless.
I'm sad over his passing, and I'll miss him. :(
Sail on, Mr. K.
