Calaloo all the way! But it will definitely lose when it goes up against TTR. So will SOASOAS, my prediction.

IMO, Don't Stop The Carnival is totally underrated.

Don't want to pollute the voting too much, but on the SPOL tour in '05, as a 10 must do, Jimmy only did SOASOAS about 2/3rds of the time. One of the must do's he didn't always do!

Maybe it's just me, but I consider Calaloo an ensemble song, it doesn't seem fair to rate it against something that is so "Jimmy" like SOASOAS. MHO of course, YMMV.

I agree with the earlier post of DStC being totally underated. A very fun and dynamic album with lots of great lyrics.

However SOASOAS got my vote. I usually skip over it in cd player but really enjoy listening to it in concert.

Thanks for the links to the Hookipa Surf Shop. I had no idea! I have an e-mail address with the same name - which I got from a beach on Maui. Ho'okipa, in Hawaiian, means 'to welcome'. I loved the name and the beach, so I used. That's awesome that Buffett used the Hookipa Surf Shop in his album cover. Guess that adds another destination to my travel list.

Thanks again for sharing your wisdom!

Well, I think we all know which song will win this one in the end. But since I'm a big fan of DSTC I'm voting for Calaloo!

I'm a fan of DStC, but SOASOAS is a classic.

sosoas by a landslide calaloo is a great song but taken out of the don't stop cd it's lost.
I have hadd this discussion a number of times and though dstc is on of my favorite cd's i did not truely appreciate it till i read the book.

Both great songs, but unfortunately this one looks like it is going to end up like a Division 1 college team playing a Division 4 high school team.
