Buffett does a Private Show in New Orleans
Jimmy Buffett did a private concert in New Orleans on Tuesday March 13th at the Superdome. It was a show for about 2000 Anheuser Busch personnel to promote Landshark Lager. (thanks to tin cup scooter for passing that along to us)

Ha! Thats funny! I bought my first six pack in Fairhope last weekend too. I though it was pretty good. Not a real strong beer but better than bud and miller.JustDucky wrote:Found Landshark in Fairhope and Mobile, AL this weekend. I bought a six pack of it. I'll probably never bother again, it's not very good.

It's awful. They were giving it away for free in the parking lot at the Orlando show last month, I thought it was overpriced.JustDucky wrote:Found Landshark in Fairhope and Mobile, AL this weekend. I bought a six pack of it. I'll probably never bother again, it's not very good.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
The taste is a bit tangy, kind of spungy. It reminded me of the aftertaste (which for some reason has always reminded me of the smell of the water after boiling corn in it) of Rolling Rock, which I've always thought was just a bland beer. Is it better than Bud? I dunno. Bud is a bit lighter and maybe smoother. Corona? I hate to say it but no. Cornona seems to have a smoother and better taste. At least when it's fresh and cold. I've had some bad Corona and for some reason I've never had a bad Bud.
But LS does have a taste to it that you will not find in either. A friend of mine who likes to drink all kinds of beers tasted it and he liked it. I didn't throw the 6 pack away like I did with the Abita Light someone gave me. I drank not even half of a bottle and threw it and the 5 full beers in the garbage it was so bad.
It is better than Bud Light and from what I can tell of the little amount of light beers I've had better than all of them. How LS is an 'Original Island Lager' I'll never know. Isn't Red Stripe a lager? I like Red Stripe every now and then. Someone or a few someone's said LS is pretty good with a lime in it. So maybe I'll try it again with a lime in it.
But I prefer Abita Amber number 1. So I had Land Shark and didn't care for it so much. There you go. Everyone in Alabama refers to it as 'the Buffett beer'.

I see, y'all are beyond being beer snobs, you're just snobs in general.
A bad Bud meant not skunked out ruined like a bad Corona. Bud is boring, bland and predictable and might as well just be Mississippi River water with a label on it.
Nothing compares to Abita Amber though - not ONE beer in the world. I've been all over the States, Canada, Bahamas, Caribbean and Europe and still prefer Abita Amber over anything. And actually I hate Bud because the Bud man always removes the Abita from the cooler to put that shitty Bud Select in its place.
Which is beyond wrong - it's criminal.
