Margarittaville in New England - Could it Be???

Post by icarus »

. . . I'm not one to start Rumors but,

Although we are not gambing folks by any means, my wife and I signed up for the Mohegan Sun newsletter and "player club" card when we moved to where we are now a few years back, just over 30 mins from the Casino. Once in a while she will get an e-mail from the Sun with regards to upcoming events, etc.

Well, the other day she received a survey from them with regards to "Themed Restaurants" One particular question asked what themed restaurant would she like to see on the property and the choices were the usual:
Rain Forest Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, Cabo Wabo, and Margarittaville, among others.

From that list I can cross off 3 that wouldn't work,
Rain Forest Cafe - too family oriented for a casino.
Hard Rock Cafe - there's already one less than 10 miles down the road at Foxwoods.
Cabo Wabo - Nothing to do with the Van Halen connection, but it just doesn't seem very well known, and have enough popularity to gain the crowds that the others would bring.

At first thought Margarittaville seems to fit the situation best, due to the entire atomosphere and the vibe, not to mention the crowds that would show up.

Probably the most interesting thing about the survey that my wife noticed was the e-mail address that se sent it back to. The address had margarittaville within the address line.

I'll allow people to draw their own conclusions for this.

I got the same email from them as well, and took the survey.
They are building a whole new casino there, so I wonder if it's for that or to replace something in the existing complex?

Either way, it would be awesome to have one there!

ADD IN ANOTHER FACTOR.....MRS. BUFFETT IS ON THE BOARD FOR SOME CHARITIES AT THE MOHEGAN SUN.....PLUS THE FLAMINGO HAS ONE........ SO THE CASINO ISSUE IS A NON-FACTOR

Margarittaville? Is that the same thing as Margaritaville? :D

Maybe they were so sick of everyone yelling at them for not putting two T's on Buffett, so they threw an extra one in on Margaritaville just to be safe. :D
