256 pages...
That puts it at about "Tales from Margaritaville" length.
(Shorter than WIJM and significantly shorter than APL@50 and ASPOL)

Have you read "Tales from Margaritaville"? If not, I strongly, STRONGLY recommend you read it before "Salty Piece of Land". You'll have a greater appreciation of Tully Mars if you do.

Agree. I am thinking time for a reread on all of those.

wonder if Amazon will sell it as a combo, "Folks who buy this, buy" with HST's "Nation of Swine" and Paul Prudhomme's, "Foooey!! How to Cook with Andouille"

I take it this is a work of fiction? I didn't see otherwise on the Amazon site. I wonder if we'll see some old characters or just new ones. Can't wait for it to come out.

Buffet [sic], Jimmy
September 2007
SWINE NOT

Performance rights: The Amy Rennert Agency (Amy Rennert)

Bestselling author and famed musician Jimmy Buffett presents a charming fable for all ages—the exciting adventure of Rumpy, a pig in Manhattan. Jimmy was inspired to write this book by friend who really does keep a pig in Manhattan! When Rumpy, a pet potbelly pig, and her human family move to the big city, she couldn’t be more excited. Her long lost twin brother moved to the city long ago and now she will finally have the chance to find him. But when she finds herself locked inside the apartment, with an evil chef is lurking outside, Rumpy has to overcome the obstacles. Will she ever be able to get down to the streets and find her twin? All she needs is a few new friends and the perfect disguise…

Jimmy Buffett is one of the few authors ever to have written #1 bestselling books of both fiction and nonfiction. He is the author of #1 bestseller A Pirate Looks at Fifty, Tales from Margarita ville, which was on the bestseller list for seven months, and the #1 bestseller Where is Joe Merchant? Buffett is also a singer and songwriter with many hit singles and legions of fans.

it could be about an unhappy slum lord from the South Bronx who runs away to the Carribbean and buys a hotel...
