I had to run to the grocery store today for a few things.....
they were selling BOILED eggs for coloring.....
a carton was $1.59......regular eggs that you would have to go through the arduous task of boiling yourself......FIFTY CENTS....
I'm wondering are there people that stupid or that lazy?????

I buy a lot of things pre-prepared. Yes, they cost more. But with three kids and two jobs, often it's worth it, because sometimes I just run out of time and energy..... :-?

Maybe for a little bit more you could get them "pre-hidden".

Our grocery store has sold pre-colored Easter eggs for as long as I can remember. I always wondered who bought them. (Maybe senoir citizens who can't make their own but want them on hand for the grandchildren?)

I've always had the urge to "replace" a dozen fresh eggs with colored, hard-boiled ones in the grocery store. Wouldn't that be a kick in the pants... [smilie=pimp.gif]

Where is the fun in getting an egg at Easter that is not made out of Chocolate? Today - Easter Sunday - is "eat chocolate day" - mine are in the fridge ready to go!!!

My first wife couldn't boil eggs (or do much of anything else in the kitchen).

Easter weekend was always an adventure!

I just don't boil eggs in my house  I have these nightmarish memories :o of egg salad sandwiches for days after each Easter. I buy the hollow plastic ones and throw dollar bills in them for the keets to find.

No egg sales here...usually we can get a dozen eggs for cheep*, but my son & I went to the store to get eggs to dye and they were $1.29 for a dozen of MEDIUM size eggs.

We bought them anyway, but I was really disappointed that the store didn't run a sale like they usually do. (I even went to more than one store)

Hell yes, we're lazy. We're DAMN lazy.
I'm guessing within 20 years there'll be freaking REMOTES to cook your eggs and anything else we want to shove down into our overly ample bellys while we sit on our overly ample arses!
We have remotes for everything else, microwave ovens, pre-cooked foods, restaurants that deliver because we're either too lazy to cook or too cheap to take our families out, instant coffee (which is punishable by death if it's ever brought into MY house), instant potatoes, minute rice, amd on and on and on and on.
Ask your parents or grandparents if they remember when things were so bad they actually had to get up off of the couch, walk to the T.V., and MANUALLY change the channels, adjust the volume, etc. (If they were lucky enough to OWN a T.V., that is).

LAZY? SPOILED?
It's just the tip of the iceberg.

However, in light of my post, I can definately empathize with what Jen said.
