Anyone have info on Booby Flays Mesa Grill at Ceasars?
Thats not a bad restaurant...but I believe its a pit overpriced and you can do better. Do you have a particular type of restaurant you are seeking? Give me a cuisine and a budget and I can definitely give you a few good ideas (those who know me know I like food!).

As for the Booby's.....there are many options there as well and it can depend if you want a sophisicated club or something "down and dirty". Also, the topless ones serve alcohol while the fully nude ones are strictly juice bars (with the exception of the Palomino in North Las Vegas where "they bare it all and you can have your alcohol").

My personal recommendations on both fronts are Roy's for dinner....its a Hawaiian fusion restaurant with great seafood (and an awesome chocolate souffle!). Check out their website here.......

http://www.roysrestaurant.com/

....and Spearmint Rhino is a prime spot for booby's. Its filled with grade A talent, is very spacious, and has a pleasant atmosphere (not too high end...but not too seedy either). I'm not sure the mods want me posting links to their site on here....but a quick google search could give you the necessary address.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

I think Booby should change his last name to Filet....that's how I say it anyway.

as for your other question, I know who you should ask about gentlemen's clubs. he's a jolly ol' guy who hangs around BN, you know who I mean?
no idea who that could be off the top of my head . . . I'm searching for something specific though as my cousin will be joining me and he will have finalized a divorce by then . . .

I'm looking Celebrity Chef - to say I've been there. EMeril's was overpriced but great service and food - good trade. My general rule is never eat where I can at home when traveling.

perhaps I should have said...He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself....

I bet he'd know some of your specifics.

I'm not sure what "specifics" you are desiring (or if you can even discuss them on a public board)....but you can pretty much get anything you want in Vegas!

Let me know what you're looking for (through a PM if necessary) and I'll give you some feedback!

The best steak you'll find in this town is definitely at Vic and Anthoney's within The Golden Nugget downtown. It's awesome...but will run you at least $35-40 for just a cut of meat (sides are about $7 extra per item).

I also had a great steak at Nove in the Palms recently....its an Italian restaurant on top of their new tower, but has a great selection of steaks as well. You'll end up spending at least $75 per person to eat there....but you're only a short escalator ride away from The Playboy Club after dinner!

I personally tend to say awaya from the "celebrity chef" places in town....I think you pay more for the name than whats it worth whether its at Emerils, Bobby Flays, or Wolfgang Pucks. I wouldn't mind it if they actually prepared my meal....but when its made by someone 22 year old fresh out of culinary school making $29,000 a year, I just can't justify it.

AH a reason to jump off the strip to The Palms or Downtown to the Nugget. I've never been off the strip which I know is awful but true.

Emeril's was $350 for 4 of us and that included a bottle of wine. It was excellent and I wouldn't complain. People I work with say Flay's is better and cheaper than that.

What can you tell me of the Playboy Club?

I just got back last night from Vegas. I had a great meal at Spago in Caesars so I would suggest that. If you are really looking to drop some cash on a steak or seafood I'd suggest Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio. While it's not a "celebrity chef" kind of place it's the best steak I've ever had in Vegas. Prime is a creation of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (look him up) and the wine list is also incredible. If you're with a group of people try to get the side room, it has a $3 million Lichtenstein hanging in it, very impressive. Or get a table near the water to watch the fountain show.

Just my opinions on a few places to eat. There are so many choices.

i cant tell you first hand about the playboy club, but one of my high school friends just had his 21st birthday there with a bunch of our friends. the whole things was VIP and incredible apparently. the food is supposed to be excellent, people raving about steaks and such. from pictures i saw, great bar/club/dancing and of course your in the playboy club so the company is top notch :D anyway these are just things i heard, also this kids parents are loaded and dropped over 20,000 on just lodging for the weekend, 1400 on dinner from what i heard-so the playboy might be alittle pricey....good luck. if i can im skipping school to drive down from missoula :P

most of the rooms are tower... there are a few bungalo rooms as well... however, even if you book a bungalo room, you may still get put in the tower.... The HG birthday celebration this year will be stationed at the Flamingo.... Mr. HG really wants to stay there this year, so that's where we'll be....

And from what I recall of my last visit the Bungalows are right there by the pool. I just need lower level with pool side views. I gotta now worry about deocrating that balcony . . . I better get through the Chicago date first and see what survives.

Remember that there is a fence around the pool on the bungalow side......So if you book a bungalow AND want a view of the pool, better make it the top floor (2nd floor)..... Oh and like last year......remember that there are 2 sets of curtains on the windows, a sheer and a blackout. The sheer curtains work to block the view from outside in during the day.....but at night... :o  .....errrr.....shall we say .....you may be giving everybody poolside (or as in the case last year, at the post concert show) an unintended show....... :o [smilie=blush.gif] [smilie=blush.gif] [smilie=blush.gif] :D :D :D
