Melli is Moving to Virginia

I'm finally taking a leap - at least one state over into Virginia. Colonial Beach to be exact. I was offered the job and I'll be moving within 2 weeks!

I'll be working for Lockheed Martin as a tech writer! :) :)


If anyone lives in that area, let me know. I'll need to be making friends. I gave my one doggie away to a friend this weekend (very sad), but keeping the other. Packing is NOT FUN!!!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know the good news!

Leaving my beloved West Virginia, but always a Mountaineer!

You will always be a Mountaineer, but now you're soooo much closer to the shore. (You can pop in to Virginia Beach for lunch.)

Wow! Great pic! I'll be living on the northern part and my house is close to the river.

It is a beach along the Potomac River, but it's a lot closer than I was before, so I'm happy with that!!!

Fairview Beach is near there...used to a good crab place there called (I think) Fairview Beach Crabhouse. Don't read too much into the "Beach" part of these names by the way...they are on the RIVER, not the ocean :wink:

Good luck Melli! We have a lot of Lockheed Martin employees here in Denver. Quite a few of my coworkers have worked for them either as an employee or contractor over the years. I'm a technical writer, too. Best of luck!
