Would Kenny Chesney get booed?

Post by phansheridan »

There seems to be an overwhelming dislike of Kenny Chesney on this website. My question is that if he did come out and play a few songs with Jimmy, do you think that the crowd as a whole would boo Kenny or not?
Both shows at Greatwoods in June
Seattle and Vegas in October

Girlfriend doesn't realize that shes going to be a parrothead by the end of this summer whether she likes it or not.

I wouldn't boo but if I wanted to see Kenny Chesney I'd go to a Kenny Chesney concert.

no, but that depends on if he'd be up for a good game of "Dwarf Tossing" after the show

to answer your question.... 1 or 2 songs would be acceptable. I dont think the crowd would boo.

Like him or not...the man found a niche and is running with it.... good for him 8)... but no more than a couple of songs......

A fairly high percentage of the crowd at Buffett concerts are SYKBH-type fans; Chesney would probably be well received since he is a well known singer.

It would be ok if he was their early in the show, but "when the sun goes down, he will get booed, when the sun goes down, they'll boo him right out, when the sun goes down over the concert everyone will boo him when the sun goes down"

I dont have a problem with him, but maybe not with Jimmy. I would see him on his own.
I gotta go where its warm...

That's right - I think every singer should find their own niche. No more heavy metal, pop, country, rock - there needs to be a niche for every band out there.

Hopefully, since Jimmy would be embarrased by our bad behaviour. if we did. and because it would be something special that Jimmy had planned for us we would all be gracious. whether we liked Kenny or not.

I like K.C. okay,But everytime I think about it this scenario plays out in my head. Some C.M.T. exec is in his office on the top floor of the Gaylord building in N,ville. He's studying Jimmys numbers trying to figure out how he makes so much money and has so many fans.About this time K.C. walks into his office wearing jeans,no shirt, a cowboy hat,and a guitar on his back. The exec takes one look at him and says "Son,Your going to be the country guy who hangs out at the beach and we will both get rich"
Indecision may or may not be my problem

im going to chime in here my own 2 cents as both a jimmy and a kenny fan.

jimmy sings for more of an older audience which is seen by the 30-50 avergage age of a Jb concert goer. the matierial he sings about has alot to do with life and the different stages of it which also apeal to the older crowd.

kenny on the other hand sings to the college aged crowd about young love, having fun, summer, and keg parties. This age group eats this stuff up!

Each artist is preaching to a different niche but do have corssover appeal and is why both shre many fans.

you people who say the Jb fan base would boo KC are mistaking. I think they would embrace him and probably be as loud at thatpoint in the show then they would all night for Jb alone.

If you are making fun of Kenny its becuase your way past "his time." and to go as far as to make fun of his height? come on now grow up

if you wanna go there chew on this ..

Jimmy is a little round, balding man in almost the worst shape possible.

see now that wasnt hard either.

anyways

/end rant

I love both artists and would give anything to see them perform together.
