I was thinking of Jimmy's songs for colors (for the other thread) and I thought of "Frenchman for the Night". I realized that "the angels taunt "C'est une nuit blanche" made no sense to me. I mean, literally translated, that means "It's a white night." Why would the angels taunt him with that? It had to mean something else.

When I googled "une nuit blanche" I found all kinds of nightclubs and festivals with that name. So then I googled the meaning of the phrase. Apparently it is slang for a sleepless or restless night. Also an all-nighter.
