I've been to Boardwalk Hall for a UFC fight a few years ago. The lines for beer were long. I don't remember if they had a bunch of stands or just a few though. We ate at a bar before hand and tried to get our buzz on before we headed over to the show. That was in October, so it wasn't the best weather to be outside. I don't think that'll be a problem in June.
I'm headed up Saturday morning. I'll get there, check in, and see if I can find the party. Should be a good time. I'm looking forward to putting some faces with names.

We got a room there for saturday night, and it comes with a complimentary cocktail.
Wondering if it will be a "one drink and out"
or a "sit back and catch a buzz".

Chelsea Pub is decent depending on the crowd, usually casino employees from trop head over there after work and hang til all hours of the morning. If you don't mind, driving, taxi or jitney there's also a fun place down in Historic Gardener's Basin FLYING CLOUD CAFE it's on the water food is good and so is the atmosphere.

Then there's my brother's place which has been previously mentioned
http://www.maloneysuptown.com you'll find locals head there from as far as downbeach. Food is great, prices reasonable, atmosphere is good but not Buffettesqe although I do not know what he has planned for that day.
For those asking about Boardwalk Hall they do serve beer, there are karts throughout the venue

Thanks. I like the idea of local bars (Buffetesque or otherwise).
Drinking in the casino can get real expensive if you don't gamble.

Did I mention I have a pool and only 3 blocks from the beach also, naturally a full bar with comfy deck chairs

If I didn't have tickets, I'd volunteer my sittin' services! I do have two teenage boys who sit with my Grandkids all the time, let me see what I can do. Of course the full bar could be locked?????

-is Maloneys thinking about a shuttle to the Hall?-or hosting a parrothead pre/post party?

I'm going to go over there Tuesday and talk to him, see what he has planned. I will either report back or have him post here to give everyone the lowdown. I do know it's only a 10 minute stumble

on the boards to the hall from there.

I was at Maloney's on Saturday night. They have flyers made up and I asked them to email me one. They are doing a pre party. No band, but all buffett music and dvd's as well. They will have food set up in their parking lot. They are offering free Jitney passes to the Hall, but to be honest it's an easy walk/crawl from there. They will have a Margarita Bar and Cuervo specials. I will post the flyer when I get it.

Thanks nails. Looks like Maloney's may be the place to meet before the show. Looking forward to seeing the flyer.

Stopped by there today and saw the flyer also, my brother wasn't there but left a message with the bartender for him to check out this site, leave a message with his plans and to update his own site. Maloney's is the place to be before and after the concert.

For those non-beer drinkers out there, does boardwalk hall serve any other alcoholic drinks?
