WE ARE GOING TO HAWAII!!

Post by SoCalParrothead »

Well, until he announces a so cal date, we have just decided we are going to HAWAII!! Tickets go on sale tomorrow. My wife is a travel agent so we are getting set up. She is getting a free airline ticket and I will have to buy mine - only $325 from LAX so not to bad.

I think we are just going to get lawn seats for cheap as we have seen him once this year already - in Frisco, TX. We will obviously still hit the So Cal show when it happens.

Anyone care to comment on the lawn seating/standing in HI? We are staying at the Sheraton which is less than a mile from the venue. Should be an awesome time.

Who else is going??

The only time I went to the shell, I sat in the seated area. Per some comments made on the pre concert hawaii forum the grass area can be rugged(?) and sound is poor. But you can bring in your own chair :D See ya there [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Where is this news coming from? If so...you just made my day. If you had to give some odds???

This is from a VERY credible source; odds...If I was a bettin' man I'd be putting the house up 8)

Like the rumor. Sort of fits with what I heard in the Northern part of the state that he will be at Shoreline on the 27th. Here is hoping anyway. I need to decide on Hawaii this weekend. Second thoughts, not much of a decision, it's back to the Shell where I first visited in 1970.

Irvine?

For what it's worth, I just saw on a ticket broker site (www.greatseats.com) Irvine on Saturday 10/13! Not sure where they got their information from but it's listed on the schedule.

Jimmy is absolutely playing Irvine September 29th....

My "friend" told me a few days ago when I was out "on tour" with Jimmy....

It is confirmed, just no on sale date yet or on m'ville website yet. If you're thinking about it, just book it.... I would...

HarbourGirl is always credible. Thanks for the good news. The Oct 13 date would still have worked, but I prefer the 9/29 date.

Did this friend mention any other Cali dates?

i didn't ask.. i told him any other dates around that time are out for me... I'm in class then and I've got my Birthday Party in Vegas on the 20th. I said I was kinda bummed I'd be missing him in Hawaii and he said I definitely wasn't missing anything special. Save my money for better shows.... I should be talking to him later this weekend when we're both settled back from being on tour, so I'll see what I can find out, if anything.... Of course I was able to crack the 9/29 date because he was drinking... I can't get him drunk from 3000 miles away unfortunately.

Wow, Hawai'i show nothing special. Interesting comment. Good thing a show in the shadow of a volcano is simply ordinary.

Not putting my chips down on the 29th... then again, what's an ol' surfer know?

I guess it depends on the definition of special.... If you want parking lot tailgaiting craziness, no, it's not there..... But if you like a small venue show under the stars in the shadow of Diamond Head, it's very, very special indeed.

Like she said, the person who made that statement was drinking, so take it for what it's worth. I don't think you'd find too many people (if any) who would agree with his opinion.

Interesting. Wonder what the conversation with the original designer/printer/distributer went like.

Irvine will be glad to know it's no longer part of Hollywood.
