My first guess would be May 14th.... benefit.....
Buffett, Kravitz, Trucks And More Join The Wynton Marsalis Septet
Jazz at Lincoln Center announced today its 6th Annual Spring Gala, themed Spring Swing!, to be held on Monday, May 14, 2007. The evening will include a benefit concert in Rose Theater at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. The concert will be followed by a gala dinner dance.
The Spring Gala will feature some of the greatest talents in music today, performing in collaboration with the Wynton Marsalis Septet, including Jimmy Buffett, Lenny Kravitz and Derek Trucks. Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers will perform at the post concert dinner dance.
The proceeds of the evening will benefit Jazz at Lincoln Center, the not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences for jazz through performance and education of the highest standard – producing nearly 1, 000 education and performance events each year.

Right- the benefit's already up on the board... JB specifically mentioned he checked the internet and didn't see any talk of "it". And Savannah said "yeah, and if those people haven't figured it out..."!z-man wrote: but that has already been announced....
maybe a Central Park concert?
Personally, I'll take that as a compliment! Still- I can't stand surprises

I wonder if that's just Jimmy or if the Reefers will be with him? I guess I'll have to wait 19 days to find out.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:My first guess would be May 14th.... benefit.....

Hi Cindy,
We're just in from the concert tonight in Atlanta. When I saw the "surprise" topic and your username, I thought someone had pm'd you about the big screens tonight. You made several "appearances" via the Anguilla beach footage ... Happy 40th all over again!!

Mac and Peter are both on the road in that timeframe, and both have holes in their schedules, so it's possible it's the band...LIPH wrote:I wonder if that's just Jimmy or if the Reefers will be with him? We need to scour his recent interviews... He started to say it wasn't really a secret because he'd given an interview and mentioned it, but SJ sorta cut him off.... The info is out there... we just gotta find it...

I dunno.... it sounded bigger than an M'Ville appearance....conched wrote:Jimmy and Savannah talked about Allen Toussaint during the Houston interview and said they would see him soon.
I just assumed they would just SEE him at Jazzfest, as Jimmy said he wouldn't be performing; but maybe there is a Margaritaville appearance in New Orleans.
Jimmy may actually get the drop on us!
